Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

So as long as I have the offer saved on my paypal account and pay in 4 option, I should be good right? I don't see the point during checkout

About to checkout, but I do not see any mention of the 20% rewards offer. I have click save offer and do see the offer in my account

Is this normal / expected? Or are others seeing the offer explictly mentioned at checkout ?

Same here

Yes. If you check pp rewards, you'll see points pending after the transaction. This deal read like it's only for PayPal credit but pay in 4 works too

just completed a new Pay in 4, so it's just you.
Is it just for the Pay in 4 option, or pay monthly option as well

Anyone know if I can get the 20% re-instated ? I ordered P2S from best buy and they canceled my order and they said it will take at least 72 hours to refund. I am screwed, right ?

I've been able to do this several times. After the third try, I got denied to pay later, but once I paid off the existing purchases, I was able to do pay later on new purchases. All my transactions that say pay later have the correct amount of points pending and I've done 5 orders now with it.

Has anyone been able to do this and tie it into a CC specific merchant cashback offer? Such as Amex w/ their offers?

Wondering if it'd workwith pay in 4, as it may not list the merchant? Or just seem weird and not fire off the offer -- would also likely require an initial pay in 4, then paying off the entire purchase.

I haven't read this whole thread, but just throwing my 2 cents in. Tried to use this at Best Buy (Pay in 4), got denied for "unusual activity". The next day, Pay in 4 was still missing from my checkout options but "Pay Monthly" was still there, which is also eligible. Tried to use that, got all the way through the credit application (and was approved), but when returning to the Best Buy cart, got the same "unusual activity" message.

Now it's 3 days later and both options are still missing. To add, the price of the item I wanted also went up while waiting for these options to appear again.

Even if they show up again, I don't think I'm going to use it. I'm pretty sure Paypal will troll everyone in a few months with "sorry, points budget had already expired for your purchase" notices.

You paid off existing purchases having the offer. Do you see the 20% points pending for pay later option ?
I used the pay in 4 option for one of my other purchases and it shows the points pending, but now the pay in 4 doesnt show up for any other purchase

Yeah, we'll see. They certainly don't want to make it obvious.
I actually called them. AI was useless, as was the guy in India.

Don't be silly, no one cares if you call about your personal business with a valid question. Understand the SD tradition and the proper reason for it before you keep spouting off.

All I'm seeing is "points pending" without any point value for my purchase that I made yesterday on Nike. The transaction is correctly sorted as Pay in 4 though. Anyone else experience this?

Yes, I see the points pending on all of them, I wasn't given the option for pay later on other purchases until I reduced the amount of pay later payment plans I had. Now I only have 1 open plan and still have that option available for new purchases. But at one point it no longer gave me that option when I had 3 open pay later plans

Yes, I did two Nike website purchases and you won't see the points amount till the payment is actually withdrawn from your payment method, my payment took three days to post.
