Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Are they allowed to end the promo without notifying that it's over?
They control the promotion so I would think so they make the rules

But fine print says, until the 1.5B pool is used up, it will remain in effect until its gone. Dec. 9 they swap from 20% to 5% and assume it siphons from the same pool. Think there was a hard date in the fine print when they said no more cash back anymore.

Ok, I found some clarification. It's only for Pay in 4 and Pay Monthly under Pay Later.

PayPal Credit is a separate category.

"Eligible Purchases are purchases made using either Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly that are completed during the Offer Period by an Eligible Participant who has saved the Offer."
Before checkout on dirac site, i see pay later with paypal but once I am on check out, I only see paypal credit. That means the 20% offer in my paypal account won't work for this purchase? (please look at photo attached).

So your saying youre going to earn 20% back on more then $1250 worth of purchases? Curious, how much time in between transactions?
Yup it shows up at 23744, 8140 & 19674 pending points respectively for each transaction. They were done about 1-2 hours apart from each other. We were gonna buy these anyways during Black Friday week on top of Cashback extensions, so if the pending points are true, then it's a nice cherry on top

I made a purchase (only $150) a few days ago and got the 3000 pending. I plan to try another purchase for an iPhone at apple. Hopefully it goes through without any hiccups.

Try adding a non-Chase or non-Capital One credit card to get the Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly to show up. Pay in 4 is defined as a BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later) and Chase does not allow its credit cards to participate in that.

Also, try adding a checking account or debit card to get the Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly to show up.

In my own experience, I was able to see the Pay in 4 show up for my checking account (linked) and for a Citi Strata Premier credit card (linked). Attempts to add two Chase credit cards to the Pay in 4 stage were met with a popup message "The card you added can't be used with this plan."

I'm not seeing "purchasing power" anymore on the Pay Later section of the app. Does this mean I'm no longer qualified?

Thanks for the suggestion. I think dirac just doesn't participate in pay in 4 or pay monthly. I just noticed the side say "buy now, pay later with paypal credit" so i believe paypal credit is the only buy now pay later option and it doesn't qualify for this 20% off. Sigh. I guess I will wait for dec 1 and use chase paypal 5%...

Yeah, we'll see. They certainly don't want to make it obvious.
I actually called them. AI was useless, as was the guy in India.

Did you ever find out if split payment methods were doable?
You can't. There is also a limit on a single transaction or else the pay in 4 is grayed out.

About to checkout, but I do not see any mention of the 20% rewards offer. I have click save offer and do see the offer in my account

Is this normal / expected? Or are others seeing the offer explictly mentioned at checkout ?
