11/26/2025 10:28am PST Update: This is now limited to ONE transaction, with 20% rewards back up to $1,250. Paypal email memo notes that the promotion for spend on multiple transactions prior to the notification will be honored.
Walmart:
1) you have to make sure Paypal is not a saved method of payment in your wallet. If so, go into your account and remove it
2) When you are in checkout, uncheck the box that says Remember Paypal as a payment option.

perfectly is probably not the best word for it; "as designed" is a better description. the process is working as designed whether we want to argue about the ambiguity of the terms or not. in the proper context, it was in contrast to the language in the terms. never said I agreed with how it was working and if the way is was functioning is good or bad.
in this post, it is a disaster because I believe the implementation is sloppy and the individuals pulling it together are unprofessional. not liking what I see about features and functions disappearing and reappearing randomly. merchant participation is a mystery, never heard of that one. also I didn't realize the extent which AI would interfere so heavily in the approval process.
everything worked perfectly for me (so far) but when I see everyone else having so many issues, I'm not so naive as to believe it's a great promo overall. it's great for me but overall this promo is a spectacle. Anytime the customers are having a problem with taking advantage of the deal, not because of the process but because of confusion on how to execute it, that's the disaster. Hidden buttons, missing points, blank screens, numbers that don't make sense.... I wish we could have a long discussion thread about the various deals and the benefits of the promo instead of what we think it means, how each of us think it should be executed, and what we believe the final outcome will be. For example, I've never seen so much discussion about "pending" points ever, loans and interest, hard pulls, etc and I can't imagine why anyone would insist on calling.

Pay Later in monthly installments is available for me, but each option has a decent amount of interest attached to it. Bummer.
