Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

How much time had elapsed between the 2 transactions? Did you do one after the other? In my case, I did one transaction and for the other one, it says Pay in 4 is unavailable. Thanks.
About a week in between. I just placed the Ubiquiti order yesterday, and the Pocket Fit order last Monday.

Thanks, can you clarify i saved the offer on my PayPal account. But when I click buy with PayPal on ColeHaan website it doesn't say anything about the offer and 20% back. Is it suppose to say I'll get 20% back with pay in 4?
I couldn't recall, but I took screenshots every step of the way for my Best Buy order and just looked at them. Nada. No mention of the 20% anywhere during checkout. I do have the points pending for that order though.

Does it tell you the amount of points? What day did you make the actual purchase?

Can anyone thats had their installment CC post confirm the line appears as Paypal or is it the actual vendor name? Want to see if this stacks with Amex 100$ back at Dell, but then it has to post as Dell merchant
BoA shows PayPal as the merchant.

Can anyone confirm if this works with the Paypal Credit option at Chewy?

I've seen a few posts of people reporting that "Paypal Credit" does not work, and you have to use "Pay in 4" or "Pay Monthly" - but these options are not available at Chewy and after doing some research it seems that Chewy is on the list of merchants that do not participate in the Pay in 4 program.

The T&C are a bit ambiguous - they exclude "any purchase or portion of a purchase that involves a payment method other than Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly". I would assume the Paypal Credit option is paid monthly, but I can't find any clear answer on whether it counts for this or it HAS to say "Pay in 4" or "Pay Monthly". At Walmart I have 4 options with Paypal (Pay in Full, Pay in 4, Pay Monthly, Paypal Credit), but on Chewy I only have 2 (Pay in Full or Paypal Credit). This would lead me to believe that Paypal Credit does not qualify, but I would like to get some definitive confirmation , so if anyone has actually tried to use Paypal Credit with this promo or gotten a clear answer from customer service, please let me know!

Yes. It shows 14,6xx pending points (~$146). I made the purchase on 11/22.

Charge on my Discover account shows as: "PAYPAL *PYPL PAYIN4"
Same here.

Paypal is the entity charging your credit card, not Dell.

Paypal will charge your credit card 4 times; you will probably see 3 more of the course of a few weeks.

Dell got paid by Paypal earlier and separately therefore no Amex Offer trigger, sorry.

It only works with Pay Later. PayPal credit is a different animal. You can gamble on a Chewy GC from Best Buy if you want. Terms exclude GCs, but seems to work. If you have a Discover card, the Amazon $10 off $75 Discover promo (seems to be available for most people) works on GCs.

And where are you getting this info? As I stated, the T&C are ambiguous at best.. they include "Pay in 4" and "Pay Monthly" but based on all of my research "Paypal Credit" is paid monthly and is definitely a "Pay Later" option, so I don't know if that counts or not. Looking for verification from someone who has actually made a purchase with Paypal Credit and tried to use this promo.

All of the advertisements and the offer page itself state the offer is for "PayPal Pay Later" purchases. It also states that they may do a soft credit check. For the credit card, they do a hard pull.

"Paypal Credit" is a form of paying later, as you are not paying now. I have not seen anywhere that definites "Pay Later" as either including or not including "Paypal Credit", which is why I'm asking for someone with firsthand experience, not just someone who thinks they can read the minds of whoever wrote the T&C better than I can Smilie I agree with you that it probably does not qualify, but neither you, me, nor anyone else can know for sure unless someone with firsthand experience reports back.

Is there a limit on the number of transactions?

the terms are incredibly ambiguous on all fronts, no one knows anything, and even the simplest of terms ($1250 per purchase limit) are being ignored and are showing points pending for the full amount. - so all bets are off and we are completely at PayPal's mercy.
I think that about sums it up.
