Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

FYI, I was able to get this to work but I had to downgrade from a business account to a personal paypal account for whatever reason. Stacked it with a 20% off Ebay coupon for a refurbished laptop made this super slick. Thanks

that is what i get "unusual activity". Not sure if pay in 4 option will ever come back

same problem here

Pay in 4 can be quirky. I cancelled a Samsung Pay in 4 order and it afterward it wasn't available. I contacted PayPal and they said could be up to 72 hours. After about 16 hours it came back.

It's possible it will go away altogether for any specific account.

Also CSR from PayPal said it was controlled automatically within the offer and they have no manual control of reinstating or escalating the offer...for what that's worth

I no longer have the 20% off icon either this morning. Is the deal dead? I'm pretty sure I clicked save offer. Frown
Gone for me also.. No trace of it. Going to ask the Mrs if she still has it on her acct, but guessing they ran out of points.

The offer states that it is for personal accounts only along with only accounts that receive the offer

Why would they? They won't earn interest, but then they don't earn interest with Pay in 4, either. I saw nothing in the terms or in the "pay later" info. It just says that they don't start interest until order is partially or fully completed, interest is calculated daily, and there is no penalty for early payment. Right now, all my points still show since paying off hours ago. Some will say, that means nothing. But points still pending means something to me. I am quite confident, or I wouldn't have paid them off early.
Got it working this way. Thanks!

The offer is still showing up on the website and when I go through the process of saving the offer it still appears in my account. I don't see the banner appearing in the Paypal app on my phone though.

Looks like since last year Chase stopped allowing people from using their CC on those BNPL.
