Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Pay in 4 can be quirky. I cancelled a Samsung Pay in 4 order and it afterward it wasn't available. I contacted PayPal and they said could be up to 72 hours. After about 16 hours it came back.

It's possible it will go away altogether for any specific account.

Also CSR from PayPal said it was controlled automatically within the offer and they have no manual control of reinstating or escalating the offer...for what that's worth
Good info to know. I got the unusual activity error this morning and now it is gone. Emailed support to see if it could be reinstated manually but wasn't hopeful. This just confirms.

that is what i get "unusual activity". Not sure if Pay in 4 option will ever come back
Oh, that's not good, but on the positive side, I paid off all my PayPal plans so I owed nothing, and my Pay Monthly has come back after getting the unusual activity for Pay Monthly 8 days ago. So it took 8 days.

But I got the unusual activity for "Pay in 4" 5 days ago, and it hasn't come back.

Just through my experience, I learned that these are handled separately in that manner. So, I suspect my Pay in 4 will come back, maybe in 3 days, maybe a little longer. I'll post back if it happens before this promotion is over.

For now, I'll use Pay Monthly and pay it off before interest even begins.

They needed me to unfreeze my credit like 9 days ago or so at Equifax, which I did. I had to provide SSN also. However, at this point, my Equifax account shows no soft or hard inquiries. I don't know how quickly it updates, so I won't make any conclusions until after a month passes.

I had successful two pay later in 4 installments. I don't see any more that option other than pay later(with interest).

"Unusual activity" is something I've only seen in the message center. But my Pay Monthly has been restored since I got unusual activity for it. That message is still in message center because I didn't delete it, but that didn't have any bearing on it, those are just messages. PayPal handles it in the background. I read it can take weeks or months in some instances before they give you credit again. It took 8 days for my Pay Monthly to come back.

Anyone know why Pay Later is not showing up as an option for me at PayPal checkout? Trying to purchase a TV through Best Buy. The offer is saved on my account and I tried through both the BB app and website, but it only allows me to Pay in Full.
Anyone else deal with this?

Pay Monthly and then pay off quickly to avoid interest. That's what I did.

Have you made any successful purchase using Pay in 4? If so, it's common for it to disappear for a few hours to a day if nothing serious happened.

The advert on mobile that disappeared, whatever the Symantecs. So you tried it within the last couple hours since that stopped showing up?
