11/26/2025 10:28am PST Update: This is now limited to ONE transaction, with 20% rewards back up to $1,250. Paypal email memo notes that the promotion for spend on multiple transactions prior to the notification will be honored.
Walmart:
1) you have to make sure Paypal is not a saved method of payment in your wallet. If so, go into your account and remove it
2) When you are in checkout, uncheck the box that says Remember Paypal as a payment option.

Based on that, as long as the purchase was before today, multiple purchases should still be eligible for the advertised 20%, whether or not it was your first purchase.

I just got the email. They are updating the terms retroactively after I already made purchase today and saying I hit my limit. And only limited to one purchase per customer. So, that means my big purchase today won't be covered at all.
This is the worst news.
I see the first of 4 payments is already pending on my cc and the PayPal points are pending too.
I was just planning on letting it run and have my CC get charged in the 4 installments... figured it was a safer way to make sure I get the pts.
And got some pretty good deals out of this, including a 55" LG C5 for <750 (with all cashbacks included). Was considering a PS5, but I guess I missed my window on that one.
I just placed an order with Samsung for a Q990D system, with Paypal Pay Later, 4 Pay option using credit card
Pay in 4 showed up, and Samsung order showed up on my Paypal account. The Samsung order shows "Points Pending", but points still showing 0 for now. Added this offer earlier today and this is my first order.

New terms do say one purchase but it seems like they upped it to $20 million (2 billion points from 1.5 billion before) to last longer.
