It was clearly 1250 max, why woukd they even put that in the terms otherwise, the logic that it meant "you can make multiple purchases up to $1250, and then you can multiple up to $1250 again, and then You make multiple purchases up to $1250 again and again" makes no sense. Just always the few who ruin it, im going through the craziest nth degree fraud check, again because people ruin everything., amd when i finally finish they change the terms. I bet this promo did nothing for them as well, sounds like it reached no one that wasnt a previous user, unless the idea was to get as much information off people as possible.

I have the same wording as your image with "5% back on Pay Later Purchases, 20% Promo through Dec 2" and I'm reading that as my next Pay in 4 Purchase will only give me 5% back in rewards.
They terms were updated and specifically removed any mention of 5%. So, it makes me wonder if they are still going to have it.

Chase Freedom will have 5% cashback on PayPal purchases linked to Chase for the month of December, but don't use the Pay Later options if you do that.

Hmmm, let's say I've already ran up some purchase....if I don't receive email or notifications will the next purchase still be 20%? The promo is still the old one in the app.

Terms have changed. No longer PER TRANSACTION.

It's ONE transaction (which happens to be limited to $1250 as well), but only ONE now, as of an hour or two ago, but retroactive back to midnight. Enjoy! PayPal is really making an impression on everyone.

Any precedent in that stacking with any Paypal or CC cashback in the past? I've never used it.
Yes, it is completely different, always stacks fine. They do not talk to each other at all.

How have you made it this long without using it is the question. Pretty much every online purchase I make goes through one of a few CB sites.

So is this still 20% back or is it 5% back?
You have ONE purchase of up to $1250 you can do for 20% rewards as of first thing this morning. Anything prior to today, doesn't matter, you will still get those 20% rewards.

5% has been completely removed from the terms of the offer.

Hopefully you didn't use it more than once today, because only ONE transaction is allowed effective today. For previous days, you're ok.

Thank you for being a part of our limited-time Buy Now Pay Later holiday promotion. We're so happy you've been able to take advantage of it. You've reached the limit on this offer given our new terms, which can be found here.

Any eligible PayPal Pay Later transactions you made before today will receive the benefit of the original offer terms. You can check the status of any pending points in the rewards hub of the PayPal app.

During Black Friday and Cyber Monday, shop with PayPal Pay in 4 interest-free and with no fees. And you can check out other cash back offers in the PayPal app.

Thank you for being part of this promotion.

I started using CC more for CB and got away from the websites. I used to use those more like 15 years ago around the time of Bing cashback, but they usually said you couldn't stack, and I didn't want to risk it for purchases I didn't really care about. Might look into it again.

Where do you see it being retroactive back to midnight? I made a purchase this morning.

Ok, I got the Paypal email, too. Says I'm done.

I got close but didn't hit the limit. Says my prior purchases are ok. Maybe I can try one more time.

Sucks for everyone else waiting for today and for BF to get the best deals; not going to be easy to make a $1250 purchase today.

Ok. so many comments. I sense that some are believing that this is now a new promotion so everyone gets 1 chance whether you did any prior today? Do we have a definite answer or any data point? I did few transactions on two PP accounts prior to today's new term and received email saying that I have "reached the limit on this offer given our new terms" New terms on original promotion and now we have a new promotion? I see the new promotion on my offer page...
