Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

No hard inquires or software inquiries appeared on my Equifax despite getting a message from PayPal to unfreeze it, which I did temporarily. I've used both Pay in 4 AND Pay Monthly.
When do you pay the interest for the pay monthly plan? For instance, if you pay in full before the first payment, do you still pay interest for the whole thing?

So much confusion here.
I now see a new offer on my account, "20% CB on one pay later with PP" 6 days left, so until dec/2. It is different than the other offer we had with different expiry date.

My other points show as pending, so if this was the same offer this should show as redeemed, correct ?
If you look at the terms it says the offer period started 10/8 and this is a modification of that original offer.

Some are reporting still being able to make one more purchase and having the points show as pending. However they have 90 days to reverse those points, so it is up to you if you want to take the risk. Officially, if you've made a purchase under this offer, you no longer qualify for any more.

good lord you guys are doing it again! I don't care if you argue and bicker but please don't call PayPal and ask them what does this new email you receive today really mean. if you get one more try or are you done already? don't ask, just go with it however you think it reads.

and if you go for it (like I will) and you don't see pending points, don't call them and ask if you'll see the points later and why not. look, we all understand where we are with this situation now but there are thousands of people who just read or hear about this thread (or the promo) and they act. and when it doesn't work for them, they complain. why, because we're still debating out loud (with perceive authority) on what the email says or what the email means.

is the offer "marked" completed or active on your device, wtf cares. just go buy what you need and have a good day and if later you aren't happy, take it back. I can't believe we are still nitpicking on labels and end dates and amounts and new vs old promos terms.....maybe PayPal should have just sent an email saying YOURE DONE KNOCK IT OFF is that what you want?

all those little topics are going to grow and escalate and all it takes is one person to demand to Best Buy or Target they want a refund on their gift card purchase because they didn't get the points which the ppl app agreed to when they used the promo. and it escalates to disputes to the credit card and calls to Minneapolis to speak to manager and the next PP email is "our merchants are sick of this and are raising shields on our little promo so shut it down....now! I gave you one day to make it right and it's worse."

I hope the term "structured stored value-added card" never leaves this thread, it not a term no one would ever use and SD should roundly reject it so no other opportunities to cause confusion will ever come up again.

Don't forget SD rule #1 kiddos.

"Reward Redemption: Reward should be available in Eligible Participant's Account Overview section of the PayPal Account to redeem for cash and other redemption options within fourteen (14) days after qualifying to receive the Reward, although may take longer. See the "Redeeming Points" section of the PayPal Rewards Agreement for details."

Sounds like you should be able to see results within 2 weeks (though possibly longer) according to their terms.

Youre saying i have cognitive dissonance, when youre ignoring every single point i make? Literally ignoring where it says $1250 spent, at the very bottom clear as day. The only time you refferee to any clear points i made was to say so bezos couldnt buy a jet on this deal.

i will repeat for the 5th time it says $1250 spent total, the promotion only applies to 1250 spent total. I asked my mom, she concurred and laughed, it was actually hard to explain to her your guys logic in all of this. Regardless it says 1250 spent, im not responding to any other tangent. This is how you guys operate, you go off on tangents, i swear the internet in recent years has destroyed any respect anyone has for the truth.

But ill bit ine last time, so for any elgible ourchase, (a purchase that has not exceeded your 1250 cap) once you exceed it, it is no longer eligible. So this is all pointless, they know that. Theyre just clarifying that if you do make a purchase it will not exceed 250 no matter what. They dont care if its 3000, the max is 250. Theres noway around it. If you qualify to use 1250 under the promo guidelines, the max you will get is 250. Youve literally taken the end sentence, applied your own meaning to it and ignored the entire rest of the toc. Youre saying it makes sense you can do it over and over again all because it says per eligible purchases at the end. The line before it literally says you can onky receive 25000 points maximum, stop, which can be redeemed for cash, for your eligible purchases (under 1250 spent total, not in groups of multiple purchases, or whatever youre trying to construe. Again it literally says in the toc, at the very bottom very clear. Good luck
The original offer contains ambiguous statements. While the $250 cap statement is somewhat clear on its own, there are other sentences within the text that offer confusion. The missing component is that it is not entirely clear whether limits are set "per transaction" or "per account". Throughout the offer, the transaction and the account are not clearly defined. This provides the basis for at the very least misunderstanding. It's that simple. Go ask Mom.

Your points are all true and valid. The most important part of all this current discussion though is that cash back is never guaranteed, so never factor it into a decision to buy. If you're going to buy something anyway (as you say above) or you can return it if it doesn't pan out, yes, by all means, there is no risk to try it.

However people paying taxes or other things that charge a fee, people need to stop telling them "with certainty" (as some other posters are) that they can make one more purchase and will qualify. If PP cancels the points, you're out that fee (unless you had planned to pay taxes that way anyway).

I'm sure SD effect had at least partial role in this offer getting changed.

Nah, it is 90 days plus 14 days. But in my experience they are available immediately after coming out of "pending". Sometimes it goes the full 90 days, sometimes sooner.

I actually thought the original offer was quite clear, just a bit hard to believe.

The revised offer is confusing people, especially those that made a purchase previously or this morning before the email. But it still seems pretty clear (especially when combined with the email).

Finally show up in my account today, but it says 1 transaction only. Why do people say that they can use it multiple times?

They changed the offer this morning (as the terms say they can do at any time).

Go into the transaction details and it will tell you the number of points. Should also show it on your "rewards" page.
thank you, is it normal to see 1399 points pending for 1399$ transaction? I am super confused.

I'm surprised it lasted this long. I hope they honor all of the previous purchases before terms were changed and don't start canceling points.
