Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

AMEX offer does not stack. I bought a Dell Laptop with the PAYPAL offer, the points are pending, however the AMEX offer was not triggered. The transaction does not mention DELL, it say, PAYPAL BNPL. Does anyone else have luck staking the card offer with the PAYPAL offer?
Only base rewards on credit cards will trigger, since the credit card is not paying the merchant through paypal, they're paying whomever is doing these loans for paypal.

So unless you have an offer for paypal, you're just going to get your regular points.

I got an email today from PayPal saying any new purchases using pay in 4 will be under the standard promo. But the 20% is still on their app and shows it expires Dec 2. I haven't hit the $250 in points yet.

Did anyone else get that email?
Everyone got the email, welcome to 50 pages ago.

And just as a data point for people: I received the email earlier today saying I hit the limit. Made another purchase just now with pay in 4, and I have no points showing up for the purchase, unlike every other time I got something earlier in the deal. So yeah, if your offer says "Completed, you did it!" on it, it doesn't mean that you get one more purchase, it means it's dead for you.
There is no debate about "completed, you did it". That means you 100% will not get anything.

The debate is if your offer still shows saved or "shop now" whether the points that show pending after will ever actually pay or not.

Hmm earlier this morning, several users reported getting points for subsequent orders even after receiving the completion email
You're talking about something different, the "completed" being talked about here shows in the app under the offer.

Well, even though she still has the offer, she is not getting any Payin4 or Pay Monthly when trying to check out, so it might be a moot point. It would be interesting if she would get the points that are pending for an order that BestBuy cancelled.

So i received the email, i had made a few purchases already but they were still below the $250 supposed cap, on my account despite receiving the email my rewards was still available.

Just a few minutes ago i made another purchase, and now the rewards page says completed. It does say there are pending points on that most recent purchase so hopefully i get that.
good to know.

unless you see somewhere:

"completed, you did it".

then keep going!

You have to remove it from Walmart first, and when you re-login to pay through Walmart uncheck remember the login.
What do you mean by "remove it from Walmart"?

This is literally what the original offer said. The offer has been modified since it originally came out to limit it to one purchase, but the original language from a week or so ago was pretty unambiguous that it was a "per purchase" deal. Read the original language, not the new modified one. I, and many other SDers here have the pending points to prove it.

I just so happened to have taken a screenshot of the terms as they existed on 11/18. I've attached the screenshots (I had to split it into 3 files because SD upload tool wasn't considering it a valid file in it's original size/length), and here's the full text (I'll attach the screenshot to the wiki as well):

PayPal may at any time and in its sole discretion, without prior notice, terminate, cancel, suspend or modify this offer or these terms.

"Eligible Participant": Open only to residents of any one (1) of the fifty (50) United States or the District of Columbia or select U.S. Territories who: (1) are eighteen (18) years of age or older, (2) have a U.S. personal account with PayPal that remains in good standing through Reward fulfillment ("PayPal Account"), and (3) receive an in app banner, email or other presentation inviting participation in the Offer and save the Offer ("Invitation") (eligibility for those who receive the Invitation will be determined solely by PayPal).

"Offer Period": Starts on October 6, 2025, at 12:00:00 a.m. PT and ends on the earlier of December 31, 2025, at 11:59:59 p.m. PT or when the maximum number of PayPal Rewards Points available under this Offer for all Eligible Participants is reached.

"Special Offer Period": Starts on November 17, 2025, at 12:00:00 a.m. PT and ends on the earlier of December 8, 2025, at 11:59:59 p.m. PT or when the maximum number of PayPal Rewards Points available under this Offer for all Eligible Participants is reached.

How it Works: The Offer allows Eligible Participants to earn PayPal Rewards Points ("Points") equivalent to 5% cash back on one or more Eligible Purchases during the Offer Period up to $5,000 spent. Eligible Participant must save the Offer through the Invitation once and then successfully complete one (1) or more Eligible Purchases during the Offer Period. For each Eligible Purchase, each Eligible Participant will receive a maximum of 25000 Points, which can be redeemed for $250 cash or other options (the "Reward") per Eligible Purchase. Reward will no longer be earned once the Offer Period has ended. There is a maximum total of 1,500,000,000 Points available under this offer for all Eligible Participants who have saved the offer and made an Eligible Purchase. Rewards will no longer be available once this limit is reached. If the maximum total of Points available is reached before the end of the Offer Period, this offer will end early.

During the Special Offer Period, Eligible Participants will earn Points equivalent to 20% cash back on one or more Eligible Purchases up to $1,250 spent.

The receipt and redemption of Points is subject to the PayPal Rewards Agreement.

"Eligible Purchase(s)": Eligible Purchases are purchases made using either Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly that are completed during the Offer Period by an Eligible Participant who has saved the Offer. Eligible Purchases do not include: (1) purchases that are marked as "pending" as of the end of the Offer Period, (2) purchases with Pay in 4 where the first payment has not been successfully processed, (3) any purchase or portion of a purchase that involves a payment method other than Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly; (4) purchases made at a merchant who enrolled in Pay Later within 30 days prior to the start of the promotion; and (5) any purchase involving non-profit organizations, gambling, security brokers/dealers, foreign currency/money orders, and stored value cards. Satisfaction of Eligible Purchase criteria will be determined solely by PayPal.

Reward Redemption: Reward should be available in Eligible Participant's Account Overview section of the PayPal Account to redeem for cash and other redemption options within fourteen (14) days after qualifying to receive the Reward, although may take longer. See the "Redeeming Points" section of the PayPal Rewards Agreement for details.

Miscellaneous: Participation in offer is subject to the PayPal User Agreement, PayPal Rewards Agreement and the underlying Pay in 4/Pay Monthly loan agreement(s) to each Eligible Purchase. Similar offers may run at the same time; qualification for this offer does not constitute qualification for any other offer. PayPal is not responsible and/or liable if any e-mail, Reward, or offer-related materials or correspondence are not delivered for any reason. This offer is only redeemable in its originally published form.

Account Review and Reward Adjustments: PayPal may review accounts and purchases related to this offer at any time. If Eligible Purchases are refunded or if loan payments are not completed as agreed, PayPal may delay or reverse your Reward without prior notice. PayPal also reserves the right to deny or reverse Rewards should an account show patterns of abuse, fraud or exploitation of the program.

If paying multiple ebay sellers during checkout does Paypal count that as a single transaction?

I got the email today that they have ended my eligibility for the promotion, with my existing orders being covered. I placed ~$570 worth over 2 orders on the promo. I'm guessing they got way more engagement than they expected, and they had to limit the damage it'll cause to their margins, lol.Edit: If it seems like everyone is getting "one more" usage of this promo, I may still make one more purchase to see if I get the 20% one last time.
What you going to purchase?

So the offer was 5% with $250 on up to $5k eligible purchases to begin with? Then it changed to 20% on up to $1250 purchase, still capped at $250, but with an ongoing altered terms and conditions? Wow thank you for sharing the original version.

Why do you think we are getting one more usage? I do not see Pay in 4
