Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

This is so tempting. Anyone tried this? And how will we get the cashback? Like money back into bank account or paypal balance? Say we spend $500. So we get $100 cashback right away or what?
If you have an ad blocker it wont work. Better to do it in a browser you dont normally use or better yet use the shopping app. iPhone one works better than Android. And there is a friend code available for $40

But it usually takes a day or two to show the transaction and at least 30 days in pending

Saved the offer to my account, and successfully purchased an item at Best Buy yesterday. It has been almost 24 hours, and my "rewards" section on my PayPal account doe NOT show any points pending. Anyone else have this problem? TIA

Yes that's the way it reads, but it is NOT how it has been implemented in practice. There are multiple data points here, including my own. Most people who had used it one or more times before the email were able to do one more purchase, and the points across ALL purchases got capped at 25k. But the points from the purchase after the email DO show up. Could they claw those back? Sure, but the fact that the promo is now marked completed, and it was now capped, I don't believe they will.
If they aren't going to claw back the points, why do you think they bothered changing the terms? No one knows what they are going to do, but I think there is at least a 50 - 50 chance that they will be clawing back points for multiple purchases and for gift card purchases.

In fact, their other promotion for 20% back in points on apparel purchases and people got pending points for purchasing gift cards at Target. So it is very clear that pending points are posting for all sorts of things they are not supposed to.

Again, your multiple data points are meaningles because they are for PENDING points and PENDING points posting are meaningless - they are just as meaningless as a pending charge on your credit card.

This is a good deal, just extremely finicky. Findings:
- 20% deal appeared on my 'Rewards' section on website or app, but clicking to select it would just spin. nothing showed under 'Saved' offers. apparently this is normal, however...
- the key is that it is then marked 'Saved', in green, on the popup that occurs when you click on the offer in the 'Rewards' section the second time
- for Walmart.com, PayPal Pay-in-4 option bizarrely does not appear unless you first remove PayPal as a payment option, and then add it without the 'remember this payment option' setting
- rejections for 'too high' a Pay-in-4 balance or amount seem common. unlike what some posters say, there is no place in the app or website to confirm what your limit will be
- for me (credit score of about 840), I got 'too high' rejection at $1333, then $1247, but finally got a Pay-in-4 order approved at only $1023. 🤨 so I can't get the full benefit of this rewards offer, but certainly better than nothing
- finally hurdle on the ordering process is getting a card linked for Pay-in-4. I already had a linked bank account and 2 credit cards on my PayPal
- zero of these showed up as existing options for the payment method. there was no option in the popup window for choosing pay-in-4 to choose a bank account either, only 'Link a card'
- I attempted multiple Chase (Freedom, Freedom Unlimited) and Bank of America (Cash Rewards, Unlimited Rewards) cards - all rejected for unknown reason
- finally my old Discover card was accepted! order could be placed
- I was then dismayed to refresh my PayPal 'Rewards' screen and still see it showing 0 points
- however, on my main PayPal 'Activity' screen, I see the $1022 order from Walmart.com with "20450 points pending". so fingers crossed, but hopefully this means the deal is taking effect!

So this is by no means the easiest deal to use, but excellent if you can make it work. I hope my findings about help anyone else struggling with it, especially knowing if it's active, eccentricities of Walmart.com specifically, or card linkages.
I also got rejected for too high at $1215 or something and a similar credit score. Now its not an option on that merchant even if I try something under $1000. I cannot get the buy in 4 to show up anywhere now. Did you have to wait a cooling off period for that buy in 4 option to become available after the option?

Because they changed it so that the offer gets marked completed after one more use, and people who were already over the $1250 limit were marked completed immediately. Plus the email already had a provision for previous multiple purchases to be allowed. It stands to reason that to be fair they allowed everyone to earn UP to the originally intended limit. Again, yes its possible they reverse decision, but literally every clue points to what we've seen being accurate. Additionally I spoke to customer service in between the email coming out and the later adjustment to the offer (where it re-appeared in the app with a new end date) and they said if the offer still shows, you can still claim. Not foolproof because we all know customer service tells people the wrong thing all the time...but more proof that you should chill out.

I jumped on this promotion. Bought LG 300Hz 27" IPS monitor from newegg for $266.99 and paid with paypal Pay Later 20% promo. Confirmed showing the 5940 points pending (will receive within 90 days). That's equivalent to $59.40 cashback.

After the cashback, this monitor will cost me around $212.68 USD before tax. In my opinion, that's a slickdeal for a 27" QHD 300HZ IPS with G-Sync monitor. I need the highest refresh rate for Multi Frame Gen RTX 50 feature.

How do you check if the offer is marked complete on the app? I made a purchase 5 hours after the email yesterday and I can see the pending points. But wondering if I still have 1 more purchase left.

it's limited to one purchase, so if it was after the email then the offer is completed

It's a bit confusing. I made 2 pay in 4 purchases on the 26th and both show pending points. I text 1 rep and spoke to another. One said that it successfully applied to my previous purchases and it will be fine. Another said that it will be automatically removed.

Pay Later is Pay in 4 or Pay monthly from the drop down choices in the Payment window

So when I did it pre-email, Pay in 4 no social security number required.
Now they are asking me for my social with pay monthly. Does that mean it wont work? I also have my credit frozen.
It works. Possible credit inquiry, but not always. Probably depends on your PayPal account history

I'm trying to buy a Bosch dishwasher at Lowe's. It's $1300+tax. Anyone knows why the Pay in 4 option doesn't appear when I do PayPal checkout?
