Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

It is just really wrong when people like you post information that you have no idea is correct or not. Again, no one can say whether they will or will not approve points for more than one purchase but what we do know is the terms clearly say that they don't have to. You can assume what you want for yourself, but please don't post information that you don't if it is true or not as fact. Again, no one knows what paypal will do at the end and it should be left exactly as that - if someone wants to make multiple purchases, they may get the points at the end and they may not.
That's literally what I did, I posted FACTS, and also pointed out that they could change it. Accounts who purchased after the email have pending points matching the promo. That's a fact. YOU posted an assumption based on the words in the email, ignoring the facts of what have happened. Just so its clear one more time even though I've said it in every single post, we don't know what they will do, so buy at your own risk.

Can someone chime in on this? Someone else claimed that they tried using this on a Samsung purchase for $1600, but the PayPal offer wouldn't apply. I thought it would apply for anything over $1250 but only qualify for max $250.
You can't use pay later for purchases greater than $1500, so it won't work.

$1500 is the Pay in 4 interest free purchase limit. People were doing larger purchases on a six month "Pay Monthly" plan and eating the interest/fee knowing the 20% made up the difference. New terms still say it works for Pay Monthly, but the limit is now capped at $250 and one purchase. The question is if the deal even works if you do a purchase above $1250.

When they say "up to $1250 spend" I assume that means you can buy something for like $1500 and the reward is capped at $250 cash back, or will this offer only allow you to buy up to a $1250 product?

Just remember this folks before you set yourself for pain with purchases you don't really end up wanting. Paypal does this crap with promos all the time, and with dollar amounts WAY smaller than $250. The number of people they've screwed over on offers could stretch across the US if you lined them up side by side.
Lets just remember that it was in 2016 that the paypal digital gift cards store was hacked and they never admitted it, and they made people fight tooth and nail to get their money back. Many people lost hundreds of dollars becuase of them and they got away with it. In fact, doctorofcredit was pretty much the only one who posted about it.

I couldn't see the pay later option even with the offer saved but turns out it was cause I had a business account.

Had to make a new personal account to use it.

thanks. so what's change that they made for this deal? I can only use one time now instead of multiple?
Both the first terms and the updated terms are in the wiki for this thread. The original are actually spelled out (but expired), the updated are just linked

I experienced this too, but the weird thing is, you can "save the offer" that shows up in a business account for pay later and 20% off.

I did. I actually found the pending rewards in the transaction details, not in the rewards section. Thanks for the reply though.
How much amount you spent and how much points you earned ...

I am trying place order in bestbuy 550$ but end of the order summary showed 1000 points only earning which means 10$ only...

Note : I have saved 20% and tried

Just tried to use it. kept spinning in paypal login so finally tried to do it over the iphone. Error came back with a message saying that the loan was declined due to suspicious activity. The suspicious activity was due to paypal not logging in and trying it many different ways. Oh well.....
