Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

They changed the term in the middle of the promotion and then throwing all different reasons to deny your pay-in-4 applications. This is total BS.

I tried putting in a Unifi order this morning with the Pay in 4 option and got the suspicious activity email as well. Now that option is gone and I only have the one for Pay Monthly with interest.
If you pay off same month no interest so still worth it.

Got a message from PayPal saying they have now updated the terms and I can no longer participate. I made two purchases one for $168 got 3371 points. And one for $2500 got 250000 points. So didn't think I hit the limit as the second purchase doesn't look like it counted. But the message says I can't use it now and sure enough I no longer see the option anywhere.

I too would tell you "can no longer participate" if you got 250,000 points from this promo. Smilie

I'm trying to do this for an eBay purchase.
The post says to select "Pay Later" but I only see the options "Pay in 4" and "PayPal Credit".
To be sure I'm doing it right, which is the correct option to choose to get the 20% back?

How much amount you spent and how much points you earned ...

I am trying place order in bestbuy 550$ but end of the order summary showed 1000 points only earning which means 10$ only...

Note : I have saved 20% and tried
Because the PP promo won't show up anywhere except your PP account and only after you buy something that is eligible. As in complete the purchase.

Eligible Purchases are purchases made using either Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly that are completed during the Offer Period by an Eligible Participant who has saved the Offer and has not previously received the benefit of the offer.

Before they changed the terms, I used the pay in 4 option for my purchases.

Hi, so i have already used the pay in 4 offer for one purchase and i just saw that they changed their terms before i could use it for another. Does anyone know if i can use the same credit card on a different paypal account where the offer hasn't been used and still avail the offer? Or does it flag it because it's the same credit card?

Made a post-email purchase a few hours ago and the pending points showed up immediately in my account. Capped at 25k once added to my pre-email purchase. We'll see if they stick.

Had a Paypal account that i rarely used.
When i tried to make a purchase, I got this message

"Total balance on your outstanding Pay in 4 loans or the Pay in 4 loan amount you requested is too high."

Trying to work with the Paypal customer service. Has anyone else faced this issue?.

Made another purchase for $1000+ post email and only got ~500 points. It even says "20% cash back on one Pay Later purchase with PayPal" on that point line plus "Congratulations! You did it!" below the offer itself and its marked as completed. I guess I'll follow up to see.

Added up all my points from the promo even from prior and it's 2500. 3/4 were made prior to the email but 1 of those 3 were the same day as it.

I ordered iphone through Apple with Pay later (Pay in 4 option) - how much time it takes for points to appear in the Paypal account.

it is stupid. suspicious activity, and too many tries, denies you if you change your password. all excuses. people are going to get mad and not use this pay later options. these kind of shenanigans is why i dont use paypal almost ever.
