Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Did you get locked out of your account and have to set a new password? If so that's what happened to me, it threw a fraud flag (GCs are high risk item and most likely it does not follow your spending pattern).

Yeah, I tried on my personal account and it didn't work either unfortunately.
Did you try with a linked bank account (ACH)? That should work fine.

so some of you folks are still seeing Pay in 4 as an option right now? I checked Walmart, Target and others, all are gone.

I received a email notice saying I've reach the limit, but I have only used it a couple times for about $200, yet I still see 20% offer on the rewards screen. Does it mean it is still available to me?

Does this work with Discover cards? When I first read this thread, someone wrote it doesn't, but why would that matter?

This has been discussed extensively. If you've made any purchases SINCE getting that email, yes, you're done. If you have not, you can do one more transaction and get points up to a total $1250 limit (including your previous purchases).

In your offers, if it says "saved" or "shop now" you have 1 left. If it says "congratulations" then you're done.

It doesn't work with most credit cards.

Some cards so not allow a loan to be taken against them. Others charge paypal too high of a fee. If none of your cards work, use a bank account/ACH to fund it.

Thank you so much. Appreciate the fast reply. This means I still have a purchase each for regular and business paypal.

Still seeing pay in 4 on walmart.

Pay in 4 does not go away when this offer ends. If it is gone for you, either you have no "spending power" left (it changes day to day) or you're hitting some kind of glitch and may need to close your browser and start over.

Anyone tried seeing if a 2nd account would still be eligible for the reward after already reaching the $1250 limit? The terms do state "per customer" and it would be trivial to enforce this since it's linked to a soft credit pull...but hoping maybe it might work on a 2nd account?

I just checked Target again and underneath the Pay in 4 option it's now showing "Unavailable". However, "Pay Monthly" is still an option, so I suppose this means PayPal has cut off the account?

Just got pay in 4 as an option for $650 purchase at walmart via 3rd party seller. As others stated, removed paypal as payment option in Walmart and unchecked the remember box. Hopefully combined with the 25% CB from CO so I get a good price overall.. otherwise spent beyond my budget for AV receiver lol.

Just can't seem to get PayPal Pay in 4 to show the bank account linked in PayPal. All the CCs I've tried fails also.

Pay in 4 option is there but the next screen always asks to add a card to complete. No Amex to try unfortunately.

Anyone know how to get this to work? What am I missing?

My first purchase showed Getting 20% cash back, it was only $200, so still $1050 of $1250 remaining. Now trying another purchase, it's not showing Getting 20% cash back message anymore. Does that mean I'll still get it if I check out with Pay in 4 or I won't get it?
