Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

I did get more points with a purchase I made on the day they said the new terms went into effect.

However, I actually received the email some hours later after that purchase, but they said the new terms were in effect after the previous days, when I had more purchases using the deal.

Bought Herman miller . Show points pending but doesn't say how much. Is that normal ?
yes that's normal. Just do the math 20% back of whatever you spent, you should see in points

They pulled that shit with me too. I've been with them for 24 years. I canceled my account.
Over 22 years here.

That happened to me with both Pay in 4 and Pay Monthly. First with Pay Monthly.

The Pay Monthly came back in 8 days, which was a few days ago.

Pay in 4 has still not returned. And it has now been 8 days as of today. So who knows when it will return. I don't really care since I'm done with this deal.

Not sure If it has been mentioned already, but If you and your partner/spouse share credit cards and have one card at both of your PayPal accounts, they will detect that and the deal is off the table and they 'pay in 4' option will no longer appear at ANY merchant's checkout via PayPal. Ask me how I know. If you try to add a card to another PayPal account(while still having saved on another account) PayPal will know and ask you to remove it from the first account before you are allowed to add it another account.

If you want to successfully use this offer on two separate PayPal account, make sure to use different credit cards at each PayPal account, otherwise you will lose the offer and it will no longer show up at checkout via PayPal.(It will still show saved at your PayPal account, but you wont be able to use it).

Unfreeze your credit on the first try? "If you have a freeze on your credit report, you will need to temporarily lift the freeze with the credit reporting agencies before you apply for one of our Pay Later loan options."

4 Denials. Kept trying to lower the $$ amount. Tried to unfreeze credit on the third (??) try. 4th was denied because too many attempts. Called for info. They sent me a message. rep said does not know why and cannot be shared.

Good credit and probably a 20 year customer with PayPal in good standing. Confused

Pasting the message below. The message mentions to unfreeze credit. No no longer shows as an option for a purchase (pay in 4).

"There are several things you can do that could have an impact on your eligibility for Pay Later options.

PayPal Account

Ensure an established, positive relationship with PayPal.
Allow contact information updates to your PayPal account to fully process prior to applying.
Anytime information changes on your account, we consider the risk that it may not be you updating the information, and so we may take extra steps to prevent potential fraud.
Ensure your repayment method of choice is in the PayPal wallet and confirmed to ensure easy autopay setup, and successful down payment processing for Pay in 4.
Be mindful of the amount of open loans with PayPal.
Amount of open loans is taken into consideration during the decisioning process.
Credit History

Length of credit history.
Longer is typically better. If you have a short or limited financial history, it can be hard for us to assess your creditworthiness and your ability to repay the loan.
Be aware of your credit and repayment history, both with PayPal and your overall credit history.
This includes the number of loans you currently have opened.
Any late or declined payments, any previously charged off loans, or bankruptcy. A good payment history shows financial responsibility and can improve the chances of being approved. This includes purchases financed with PayPal Pay Later options.
Demonstrated ability to pay.
Things for you to think about include: Has your income or credit score recently changed? What is your total debt compared to your income?
Important information

A declined Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly application does not negatively impact your credit bureau score.

Applying too often for any credit product can result in a decline.

If you have a freeze on your credit report, you will need to temporarily lift the freeze with the credit reporting agencies before you apply for one of our Pay Later loan options.

If your application is declined, you can still use PayPal to check out securely with other payment methods in your wallet. We will send you a secure message in the PayPal Message Center by explaining why your application wasn't approved at this time.

Customer Service is not able to review, change, or give specific details regarding the outcome of any application decision for privacy reasons."

I made a purchase at Home Depot which included $991.88 of merchandise for in-store pickup, and another $251.85 for an item they didn't carry in store that is getting shipped to me.

In my PayPal Activity, only the $251.85 transaction shows "Points pending".

Did I just get screwed by having the transaction essentially be split since the cheaper item is getting shipped?

The $991.88 purchase was already completed in my Activity log, the $251.85 transaction is listed as pending. So I figure if anything, the points should have applied to the one that was completed first?

I have no kind of emails related to receiving any points pending or otherwise. What does the email that confirms you earned points look like?

Huh. It hasnt died. I received the email for points today,

On paypal, it shows pending with the comment "20% cash back on one Pay Later purchase with PayPal"

That changed from thru 12/8 to one purchase. The purchased was dated 11/29, today.

Anyone else having trouble getting it to work on Microsoft? I'm trying to get a new laptop, and when I choose the Pay Later option and hit Place Order, it doesn't redirect me or give me the window to complete the purchase. It just keeps telling me Microsoft has trouble processing my payment.
I've tried on a phone, on a desktop, and no on a laptop. So I'm not sure what's going on. I have the offer saved and valid on my PayPal account, but I can't get past the checkout screen.
Edit: I also tried a work computer, so I don't think cookies or cache is the issue. Am I really going to have to create a new account for this to work?
Edit 2: Made a new account and still no dice.
Did you figure this out? Trying to purchase a Surface Laptop and I'm having the same issue. "Contact us at Microsoft support We're having trouble processing your payment and we'd like to get it sorted out."

Nope never did. I tried in a bunch of different devices too . Checked with PayPal and they said my account is in good standing. So idk what went wrong on Microsoft's side. Their customer service tried to help me purchase from theirn end but they don't see the Pay Later option so I just gave up

Am I able to pay it all off immediately after the payment in 4 and still get the points or do I need to just wait out the other 3 payments with autopay?

It seems PayPal is just giving one transaction for 20% and not all. I did few in last one week and all showed pending but now they all disappeared. Anyone else is seeing the same?

No hard pull on credit for my use of PayPal Pay in 4 or Pay Monthly.

My credit report was updated today at Equifax, which is the one I had to unfreeze for PayPal.

I show 2 soft inquiries from PayPal.

I show 0 hard inquiries at all.
does the credit report also show that you opened up a new "loan". I am not sure if these pay later loans also show up on the credit report.
