Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

As long as it is a different account and has the offer, yes. I would not use the same credit card though (you should never link the same payment method with 2 paypal accounts or both can get shut down).

oh makes sense..thanks

You can do that eventually as long as all goes as planned

I was approved, saved the offer and re-bought a Macbook from Best Buy. Was worth the extra $200 off $949, as long as it goes through. Now I just have to return the first one.

Nice. You followed the rules. There is no reason you should not get it. Just be sure to pay it as per schedule or earlier

Is the deal dead? I purchased a Bambu P2S from Bestbuy for $800+ and only see 5040 points pending, that's like $50 or around 6%

How many points had you already gotten from the promotion? Did you already have just shy of $200 worth of points pending?

The most recent data points suggest that the most that anyone can earn with all transactions combined is $250.

Those that were showing pending points exceeding that amount have yet to have any of those points become payable.

All recent data points suggest that the chat GPT theory that this was a per transaction limit is incorrect, and that in fact, the promotion was always a maximum of $250 inclusive of all purchases, even prior to the change of terms.

People can argue semantics all they want and even threaten class action lawsuits, but all the data suggests that the most any one single PayPal account can earn is $250 for the entire duration of the promotion no matter how many transactions occurred.

Time will tell, but all the data points support the above.

Save offer in PayPal account
Put item(s) in cart at participating store
In Payment window choose PayPal
If you have the offer (not every does) you must choose Pay Later, either Pay in 4 of Pay Monthly

Complete transaction and check back at you PayPal account

That's the procedure. Nothing more or less than that edit: aside from only one transaction

To those who still have questions. You can take advantage of this 20% cashback again and again and again...until you reach the 25,000 point (in total) or by Dec 2nd 11:59 PM PST (the final day)...whichever comes first.

25,000 points means a maximum of $1,250 USD AFTER tax.

nothing seems normal. if you had the offer and did as per terms you should be ok.

Funds will run out at some point, however

That is not correct. As of 11/26 it will be one transaction or even 0 transactions depending upon prior spending within the program offer

I made a combined purchase on ebay from two sellers totaling ~$1100. Ebay did not split the purchase (it stayed at $110), but paypal only game me points for one item of the three which was about $390. So I only got 7,800 points. Hopefully the points will show up later.

So I made multiple purchases to take advantage of this deal before the language of the terms got updated to say 1 transaction per account and those purchases have the the 20% cashback points pending.

My question is, does that mean I can make one more purchase with the updated terms to get another 20% cashback or would it be dead for me at this point? Wondering if anyone has tried this or know the answer.
