Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

Has anyone who got locked out of the "Pay In 4" option due to pending authorizations, and then subsequently been able to have a PayPal CSR remove those pending authorizations, been able to have their account refreshed and have the "Pay In 4" option show back up again? Count me in to the group who had them removed by the CSR, but I'm wondering if that ever leads to having the option show back up again... especially as I'm trying to purchase a limited-time laptop deal, and this deal itself only lasts for 2.5 more days. Thanks in advance!
I'll answer my own question:

I was able to get a CSR to remove the pending authorizations this morning at 10 AM local time.

I checked multiple times throughout the day and the "Pay In 4" option never returned... until just now - just over 11 hours later.

I have not used it yet, but it does appear as an option again. So take that as a data point, for whatever it's worth.

* Update: I was just able to push my order through, so the offer DOES functionally come back.

Could anyone help, please? I activated the offer, but when I check out on the Samsung website using PayPal, it doesn't give me the option for paying later. So, should I apply for their credit or debit card before checkout? Or should I get the option to pay later without applying for any credit/debit first?

Is there any penalty or (possibility of losing points) here for paying off total remaining Pay4 balance? I don't see why there would be..

You should see a pay later option either 4 payments or monthly. Don't apply for PayPal credit the 20% Off offer doesn't apply to that option.

I don't need anything, but I've been wanting a few Switch 2 games and accessories... Does this deal work with anyone that takes PayPal or is it only stores?

Update, you're right. I tried again on web interface but I don't see the pay later option any longer. Looks like they removed it from my account to be added as an option during check out.

I still see it "Saved" under rewards section of both mobile and computer.

Looks like this deal is dead for me and you Frown

Seems my application was denied for entering and leaving the checkout without completing checkout due to errors and glitches. Now it's likely gone for good

pre approved for years and finally attempted to use it 😩

I saved the promotion to Rewards. When I click on Shop Now, Best Buy is not listed as one of the participating stores. However, when I go to BB.com, I have the PP Pay in 4 option at checkout. Does this mean the promotion is active? And worst case, if I buy it and the promotion is not available, are there any issues returning the items to BB?
Yes common knowledge BB won't come up in a PP app search. Exact same scenario I had with a TV purchase on the 24th. Points are pending on my PP pay in 4 purchase from BB

This is normal, once HD finalizes the transactions the points will show. I don't think HD will wait until the 4th but even if they do, the date of the transaction is in your account with points pending. As long as that pending chage doesn't disappear should be fine.
Thanks - I think you're right - I checked again today and the transaction now says completed and no longer has the note about authorization in progress. The points are still pending but now show 25,000 points amount. So I think I am probably fine.
