Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

I am facing the same issue except on Ebay. The purchase doesnt even show yet on ebays side (the item is still in the cart and the purchase tab doesnt show the item) however I have the temporary authorization in my paypal for the first part of the purchase along with it pending in my bank account.
hmm that is odd - i think maybe a different issue than mine - mine now shows completed transaction a day later (no longer the note about the authorization in progress). For what its worth the purchase always showed up on the home depot side, but idk if ebay acts differently

same issue here, were screwed. it no longer shows up during checkout.
I'm in the same boat. I made three small purchases prior to the infamous email. I did cancel one of the three. Trying the Pay in 4 and Pay Monthly afterwards got denied for suspicious activity. Now it does not show up at all.

So you do you need to access the store through PayPal or can you directly go to the website and choose pay in 4 from there? I tried by going to PayPal and accessing the store through the shop link. Placed my order and it wouldn't go through but I got charged. Had to call customer service. They didn't offer a work around. I just want to be sure I'll get the cash back if I go directly to the site (bypassing PayPal)? Thanks

Go to your PP account
Find the offer and save it
Go to whatever online store that takes PP
Put shit in your cart
go to checkout and select PayPay
Select Pay Later in the payment options
Select either Pay in 4 or Pay Mothly
Complete using your choice
After completing purchase go to your PayPal account and confirm the purchase and pending points

It depends on what you bought and the return policy. If you bought a gift card or paid a bill (something that can't be refunded) it happens pretty quick. Other things will take the full 90 days.
Looks like my 11/18 purchase deposited the 25k points and I was able to cash them out. I'm surprised how quickly it was processed

I wonder if this stacks with other paypal cashback offers. There's a 15% back at Microsoft Store one.
I've been trying at this for days and keep getting an error on Microsoft's site that they can't seem to fix. I even used my wife's separate Paypal and Microsoft account and she got the same error. It errors out before the Paypal popup even comes up. If it wasn't for a laptop I would have gave up long ago.

There are some instances where some stores that takes PayPal won't show Pay Later

To those who still have questions. You can take advantage of this 20% cashback again and again and again...until you reach the 25,000 point (in total) or by Dec 2nd 11:59 PM PST (the final day)...whichever comes first.

25,000 points means a maximum of $1,250 USD AFTER tax.
This is NOT true. 1 transaction after the terms changed. Have tried and verified it myself.

Total of transactions from before the terms changed and the 1 after they changed cannot exceed $1250

This happened to me yesterday and you may have the same issue occuring as I did. Basically there are pending authorizations for that purchase with Pay in 4 that are sitting with Paypal even through you didn't proceed with the purchase. As a result, your Pay in 4 balance is maxed and that option is no longer available.

If you want cashback, you will need to go forward with the Monthly payments and see if the interest is worth it. Interest was only $6 for the total purchase so I just went with it.

Was actually able to get a live rep to remove my pending Pay in 4 charges from my non-completed purchase but that didn't bring back the option for pay in 4 so I'm still SOL for using this deal unless it magically re-appears as a checkout option before 12/2 and before this laptop deal ends... worst BF yet
Quote from VioletDime2033 :
You're lucky it's still even showing pay monthly as an option. Mine is now only letting me pay full using credit card or sign up for a paypal credit card as options.. Paypal rep I spoke to was able to remove my pending charges (even though they would have disappeared in 3 days on their own) but was hoping this would bring the pay in 4 option back but he said it might not re-appear for at least 24 hours..
I just tried to see if the offer came back. This was on Best Buy. I see both options for Pay in 4 and Pay monthly. Not sure when it came back today, but i am glad to see it come back. will try something tomorrow. Thanks

This what I see when I try to buy a MacBook Air from bestbuy. I see no mention about the cashback. Is it normal? How do I know whether this purchase is eligible for the cashback?

So confusing. So I made 2 transactions before the terms changed, I spent $250. Does that mean now I can still spend $1000 but I'm limited to only 1 transaction?
