Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

I got the points in my account today. They capped it to $250 although the original pending points were more than that.

How long did this check out process take for you guys? My PayPal thing said I was pre-approved and all that stuff. I went for the pay in 4, for tires from discount tire that I price matched from Walmart. Everything was going smoothly and when I hit the button for the first payment thing I've been hit with a processing PayPal credit spinning circle for like a couple (10ish) minutes now. The circle is still actively spinning so I don't know if I'm frozen up or what.

Did anyone else have this happen? Like my PayPal account itself said I was pre-approved for this and immediately on the click-through payment thing it said I was pre-approved, so it feels like there shouldn't be this much thinking going on.

edit. I'm going to be brave and refresh the web page and hopefully not get screwed into like an accidental double payment or something stupid

edit 2 after like 15-20 minutes of spinning circles I refresh the page and it went back to the paydown button. I clicked it and it immediately gave me another spinning circle of Doom. a payment is actually pending in my bank account though, it's just not taking me back to the discount tire stuff to officially complete the transaction

edit 3. I used up all of my internet bravery. The second time the payment circle of Doom was spinning the background web page was still scrolling up and down. I confirmed in my bank account that only one transaction was going through so I switched tabs back to discount tire and it immediately finished the payment. although now I'm concerned because discount tire says I paid the full amount (which just may reflect PayPal doing it for me) and I don't want to have done that lol

final edit. everything seems to have gone through normal on the PayPal screen in the app it was just an anxiety circle of doom. very strange that I had to manually switch back to discount tires website for everything to move forward though. I feel like I should get 30% discount for that lol. also hopefully I actually get the points or rebate or whatever they're calling this, it would basically amount to a free tire
Same thing happened to me on newegg, I just switched back to the retailer site after 15 mins of the spinning circle and it auto closed the paypay page and went to the final confirm checkout page and seems it went through with points pending.

Has anyone tried to use this offer via American Airlines to purchase a flight using PayPal?
Can't recollect what card I used (maybe Amex) but it didn't let me use Pay in 4 stating that Amex is not allowed for this merchant. But I don't see why not.

I couldn't find the info in the thread, but if I do pay monthly, do I get points? And if so, can I pay immediately to avoid any interest? Also, has anyone who had the pay in 4 disappear on them been able to get it to reappear? Thanks in advance.

I already made a purchase on Target and want to make a new purchase on Best Buy. The promo still shows under "Rewards" for me. However, it says one time use only. Do you think I'll get another 20% back given the promo code still shows under Rewards even though it says "valid for 1 order" only ?
Mines said the same. Just made an additional purchase at home Depot and it says pending points like the first purchase did. Hoping it goes thru with the added 20% off

How are you able to see how much cash back you are getting without paying and checking PayPal?
