Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

You need debit card
thanks! The "Add Card" prompt stated debit or credit card. Didn't realize it can only be debit card. After successfully adding the debit card, my transaction was denied, citing irregular account activities. In addition, the system automatically locked my account and forced me to change my password. I tried calling support, took forever to get to a live agent. After explaining what happened, was told that I need to call their credit's department, got put on hold for about 45 minutes and got disconnected. I'm done with Paypal, it's not worth the hassle/time and effort.

I've tried all my Visa, Amex, and debit cards, and all have been declined when trying to check out with Pay in 4. Anyone know how to fix this?
Same. 3 Visas, 1 Mastercard. 3 credit, 1 debit. The deal I wanted expired, but maybe it's a browser/cookie issue? I failed in Chrome, but I'll try Edge next time.

Maybe go into site data in settings and clear your paypal cookies? Just something that has worked me for on certain sites where there is consistent payment processing failures. Switching browsers can also work in that case if you don't use that site on the other browser. I ran out of time on a deal to try, will do it when I find something else to buy.

This didn't work, either.

  1. Firstly, you can only buy 3 of each.
  2. People are reporting that Best Buy is cancelling their orders.
  3. You don't risk PayPal clawing back the points due to their vague stipulations.

So I just logged into my account and it says the 25,000 points are available. It let me redeem as cash. And I did that. So now I have the balance ready to transfer to my bank account.
