11/26/2025 10:28am PST Update: This is now limited to ONE transaction, with 20% rewards back up to $1,250. Paypal email memo notes that the promotion for spend on multiple transactions prior to the notification will be honored.
Walmart:
1) you have to make sure Paypal is not a saved method of payment in your wallet. If so, go into your account and remove it
2) When you are in checkout, uncheck the box that says Remember Paypal as a payment option.

11/20 ordered an S25 Ultra and got pending 171,000 points instantly which got confirmed 12/01 and immediately redeemed for $171 cash back to my Paypal account.
11/25 ordered Fold 7 and immediately got 225,000 points pending which got confirmed today 12/06. Redeemed that for $225 cash back
Interesting thing to add, I got a $100 refund from Samsung on the Fold 7 purchase but Paypal never reduced my points. I'm thinking I might be able to return the S25 Ultra and keep the cash back (already sold the Fold 7).

To the guy saying they'll come after you via collections in the rare instance they attempt a clawback, yeah, okay...like they're going to do that when their own terms & conditions were beyond ambiguous. That was the heartiest laugh I've had on here in a long while, and that's saying something.
But the original terms were clear, it was capped at 1250 total.
Theres plenty of things to complain about but you cant complain about getting rewards for anything over $1250 when it clearly stated 1250. This whole thread is sketch. The fact that it was even brought up in the first place, it was clearly capped at 1250 but someone brings it up anyways, it gets shot down, and then people ignore it and start exceeding 1250 and then actually get the rewards. Meanwhile theyre flagging 20 year old accounts for fraud, and picking and choosing who gets more than 1250.

This is why PayPal changed the terms later to make it a single purchase limit with a $1250 limit. You wouldn't change the terms if you weren't changing them.
You're leaving out some important information: It was capped at $1250 PER TRANSACTION. They LATER changed the terms after we had been using it for days racking up the rewards points.

I noticed something else: I paid property taxes with this offer. And to my surprise: When using paypal, it shows up as "Online purchase" for Bank of America cash rewards card. So I got 5.25% cash back from my CC in addition to the $500. Given than local tax authority charges %3, my net is 2.25%. So my net profit is $250 (my paypal) + $250 (wife's paypal) + 56 (from CC) = $556. Thanks to OP and SlickDeals for this wonderful deal!
