Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

I got my points for the Legion go S deal at best buy. The real 'deal' was not falling for the temptation to buy items i didnt really want or need.

My points are still pending as of now (I already received my item days ago). Does anybody knows when the points will be officially showing up under the "rewards" tab to redeem?

TIA

For my last order, there were multiple items. It was about 7 days after the first item was delivered and 5 days after the last item was delivered. I used Pay Monthly and had paid it off the day I ordered - no interest.

All my pending points are all green now and I was able to cash out total over $300 worth of points from my 3 transactions. The pay in 4 orders are pending 2nd payment soon so it doesn't seem like you have to pay off very thing before getting your points. Probably the best Black Friday deal this year.

You are laughable. It was a $1250 limit, but it was a limit PER TRANSACTION or PER PURCHASE. Even the screenshot of the reward shows that. See attached.

Now that I have all this free money from this reward, more than $250, I need to figure out where to spend it. lol
a> thats the same screenshot being sent over and over again, while other uploads are more clear, before and after. Theyve had that term in every promo, even ones prior where it clearly said one transaction above. it makes no sense, I would think its a typo, but even in the toc they explain the cap as "up to a total of $1,250 in spend." Using that same weird phrasing, as if spend means total. Maybe its a typo for spending and a missed comma. Its an ad, its confusing and makes zero sense and if you look right above they provide a link that says actual terms and if you clicked on the terms it clearly stated max 1250.

Maybe they gave you more than that because of that weird line, indont know, it was clearly capped at 1250 though. But i guess you guys can hang your hat on that. To me and im sure any judge, it doesnt mean you now get to interpret your own meanings for it, and instead it was your own due diligence to refer to the actual legally binding terms.

I will gladly admit all this, but as far as the actual terms, maybe you guys just stop "laughing" at people who can read them.

You were proven wrong by AI, PayPal reps, and those of us who purchased over $1250 over multiple purchases. See the attached.
ha dude i literally just posted ai's response which was clear, and from what i can see on reddit, the reps all said 1250, with 5000 max for 5 percent, the only post in this thread twisted the reps words i bet and said 5000 cap for 20 percent.

But im not writing again, its pointless, you ignore where it clearly says 1250 max is eligible, you ignore grok where it says clearly 1250 cap over and over. This is not a productive conversation if you chose to ignore the entire reason for the debate.

...but i think since it was in high demand they sent that letter out which limited the transactions and shortened the date by couple days and hours..it ended on December 2 2025, PST 9:00pm
I'll just add a small piece of info to this comment that the "updated" offer didn't really end at 9PM PST (12AM EST) it just disappeared from people's offers/rewards page, seems like it actually disappeared even a bit after 8PM PST. Many people still got the 20% offer to apply to their purchases up to the original time for that day of 11:59PM PST even though the offer no longer appeared listed.

Since everyone is still arguing about what the terms really said, I have this response from Paypal rewards via email support today that essentially confirms that they are now capitalizing on the vagueness of what the terms originally stated and for many people have been clawing back points that were granted under the old ($5k max) terms by applying the new "updated" $1250 in one transaction max" terms.

The promotion you saved provided 20% back in PayPal Rewards Points on one eligible Pay in 4 purchase, with a maximum of 25,000 points (equivalent to $250 cash back). While the offer initially appeared to allow for up to $5,000 in purchases, the official terms capped the reward at 25,000 points total. You can review the full terms here: PayPal BNPL Offer Terms.

I understand this may differ from your expectations, but the adjustment was made to comply with the campaign's maximum reward limit. At this time, no additional points can be applied beyond the 25,000 point cap.

See how they're claiming that the "initial terms appeared" to differ from the "official terms." They're claiming that the initial terms were misleadingly vague and somehow didn't apply since they updated the promotion terms to be more explicit. It's a total bait-and-switch on their part, and they clearly didn't want to honor their own terms up until the change.

My guess is they realized how much they screwed up, but I still have no idea why only some people had their points earned from the old T&C period adjusted down to $250, while multiple people were able to have more than $250 in points confirmed and redeemed to their account. My suspicion is that PP's systems are just scouring accounts that made Pin4 transactions after a certain date to adjust down, and so some people who got more than $250 in points earlier in this promotion were safe from the clawback. Sucks since I'm not in that boat, but there's little to be done at this point.

The only pending points I had for the Pay Later 20% promotion were the transactions that were immediately canceled. Everything else showed up quickly.

I just initiated a transfer of all my points to my bank account.

All said and done, got $250 back on a $1296 purchase, and also $93 back from a separate purchase, so they made good on the "per transaction" part of the original rules. Also got $375 from my trade-in deposited in my account without issue.
