Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

best deal in about a decade, in my book. Still have 1 random purchase pending points, but crazy insane deal whether they post or not.... Honestly thought I'd never see one like this again.

Merry Christmas SD and PayPal!

Earlier in the thread some folks said that this promotion allowed "double dipping" with a second cashback offer from a third party provider. Unfortunately the one time I tried it on the Crocs website, (activating a cashback offer from the "Rat..." provider), now shows that it was declined. The PayPal points however are still pending, so I assume PayPal did in fact claim the cashback referral from the vendor after all. Has anyone managed to use a third-party cashback provider successfully while still getting their points?

One other question: did anybody get their points approved from purchases made AFTER the emails went out? I made two purchases after the email (not being aware it was sent, but still staying under the $250 limit) and the points show that they are still pending.

That's not correct. Paypal can't claim cash back referral because you're using the same mechanism as a regular Paypal transaction where you click the Paypal button, go to their website and pay. The only difference is that PayPal funds your transaction instead of you while the vendor is unaware of any of that. To answer your question, I got my cashback from C1 too.

Both my 3rd party cashback purchases are showing as pending. I've already cashed out my PayPal points. The CB from a 3rd party is from clicking through their site or link. PayPal is just the payment processor.

I figure if I plan to return something I bought with this I should not redeem those points? Anyone know what happens if you return an item after you cash out the points? Unfamiliar with this paypal reward system until a couple weeks ago.

In my PayPal transaction, the points are pending and show "Your points are on the way! They should arrive within 90 days."
Do I need to pay the remaining balance to get the points sooner? Thanks

I've cashed out my points from my 2 orders. 11/25 and 11/26 (hours before the terms change email). They became available on 12/5 and 12/7.

I ordered my iPhone on 11/29 - just got my points confirmed today (12/9), so about 10 days.
