Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

I ordered my iPhone on 11/29 - just got my points confirmed today (12/9), so about 10 days.
Was this your only 20% order?

I didn't say that ditzy. I said if PayPal were to claw back the funds and you ended up owing them money, they're not just going to forget about it and just write it off if you refuse to pay up. It will probably go to collections if they can't collect it thru some other means. Pull your head out.

Don't make it seem like the clawback method is to take you to collection first. I was the one says Paypal is not going to claw anything back you were the one who thought they would do that nonsense. Learn what the /s switch means.

Anyway, my point was there's probably a reason why so many of you scammers were marked a suspicious actors and denied P4 options and merchants wouldn't let you use the deal or credit cards, etc. Too many old timer SDers believe it's still 2008 and you can get away with anything. Paypal doesn't even have to flag you, AI already knows what you are thinking.
You're such a clown. Did you get off posting this?

So does the purchase need to be fully paid off to redeem the points?

I am beginning to think they are not going to honor any points earned after the email for people with prior orders, despite those orders triggering "pending" points. My order from 11/26 to BB is still points pending. If true, it will really stink. I really wish they would have simply not shown "pending" points they do not intend to honor. I guess we'll see, but not holding my breath.

I had 3 purchases prior to 11/26 receiving 20% rewards and 1 order on 11/26, which I made several hours prior to the email on that day, but the email specifically stated the old terms applied through the previous days, so my earlier purchase that day would have been under the new terms of the email, even though I had already made my purchase earlier in the day.

Anyway, my purchase on 11/26 showed the points pending for 10 days until I was able to redeem.

I had paid off the balance due on that Pay Monthly purchase on 11/26.

I initiated a transfer of all my points to my bank account on Dec 7, which shows completed today.

I am curious, when you go to https://www.paypal.com/myaccount/...ry=top_nav , do your confirmed rewards all read, "20% cash back on pay later purchases with PayPal through 12/8", or does the last one read "20% cash back on one Pay Later purchase with PayPal"?

I think pending is probably safer for now. I had gotten an ebay order limited from 140 down to 20 bucks worth of points and am currently fighting them over that. But I redeemed my points and still had another 20 in points pending for a later order, and that one I actually got.

All 4 of my Pay Later purchases show:

20% cash back on pay later purchases with PayPal through 12/8

Does your last one say "20% cash back on one Pay Later purchase with PayPal" ?

Maybe that last purchase of mine was still included in the old terms after-all then, despite it being made on the 26th, not the "previous" days. I should have tried one more purchase using it, but I knew I would get 5% cashback with Chase Freedom after that last 20% Rewards Pay Later purchase. Also, the email I got from PayPal on the 26th said I had already hit the limit, and the offer showed "completed" on the 26th after receiving the email. See attached.

Anyone know what would happen if I were to pay off a purchase in total and then return it to Walmart for cash? If you buy something from Walmart using PayPal, and return it to the store, the only way they can refund you would be via walmart gift card or cash.

Do you think returning something I've already fulfilled the pay in 4 obligations on would somehow trigger a points claw back if the refund was tendered in cash?

My two purchases with points pending made after 11/26 shows the "on one pay later" version. Everything before 11/26 has posted already.
