Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

My two purchases with points pending made after 11/26 shows the "on one pay later" version. Everything before 11/26 has posted already.
Same situation here. I've already received the points for my purchase made on 11/24 (it has the text "20% cash back on pay later purchases with PayPal through 12/8"). My other purchase made on 11/29 still has the points pending (shows text "20% cash back on one Pay Later purchase with PayPal"). Combined, the points total exactly 25,000 ($250). I'm really hoping the points for my second purchase (11/29) post since that was the larger of my two purchases.

unless I misinterpreted it, I saw a post earlier in the thread suggesting that PayPal might honor at least 1 more of any purchases made after 11/26 with the reasoning that the modified TOS still allowed for it (despite the emails). I guess we'll all know within 90 days.

It was not after 11/26, but beginning 11/26 that the new terms took effect. I made one purchase on 11/26 as noted above and received/redeemed the points. 11/26 was the day the email went out about the new terms.

Anyone know what would happen if I were to pay off a purchase in total and then return it to Walmart for cash? If you buy something from Walmart using PayPal, and return it to the store, the only way they can refund you would be via walmart gift card or cash.

Do you think returning something I've already fulfilled the pay in 4 obligations on would somehow trigger a points claw back if the refund was tendered in cash?
not going to get too detailed, but I had a return at Best Buy. They returned the wrong order. they returned the newer PayPal order and not the original order. they looked up the purchase by my phone number, even though I had the digital receipt right in front of them. the points didn't get clawed back.... Yet.

For those who got their points cashed out, did you pay off your balance while the points were pending? I'm asking for "pay monthly" option which has interest.

Yes.

I paid off my Pay Monthly purchase, which was my final purchase, the same day as I purchased it, on Nov 26 - no interest at all. Points were pending on all 4 of my purchases when I paid each off. I have already cashed out of all 4 of my Pay Later purchases (3 were Pay in 4), and the money is in my bank account.

I am beginning to think they are not going to honor any points earned after the email for people with prior orders, despite those orders triggering "pending" points. My order from 11/26 to BB is still points pending. If true, it will really stink. I really wish they would have simply not shown "pending" points they do not intend to honor. I guess we'll see, but not holding my breath.
Same, I wait until Saturday and return it if nothing changes. I also have 26% C1 rewards pending, but I still don't need what I bought that desperately to keep it without the 20% PP.

I just pay them off before returning, as far as I know, they put back the money to your PP balance.

I placed an order on November 29th and do not show any points pending or anything even though I had activated the promo.

My points from 11/22 are still showing as pending though points from 11/26 and prior dates have been approved. I am beginning to think they won't honor these pending points

One of my earlier samsung orders was put in using the wrong promo code. I used PayPal in 4 as payment

I cancelled the order immediately, but the pay in 4 never dropped off

It's been 2 weeks and the payment is still there, the 2nd payment is due soon

PayPal said the seller never refunded the payment. I tell them.. What payment? The order was cancelled immediately! There's no order!

I'm still waiting for a resolution
Did your issue ever clear up?
I'm in the exact same situation and the Pay in 4 never dropped, with 2nd payment incoming.

Same boat. When I first made the purchase, the text "points pending" was displayed. The next day the message disappeared. I emailed support and they said that the purchase was made as part of the promotion and that if the points didn't show up after 2 weeks to get back in touch with them. It hasn't quite been two weeks yet but I'm not holding my breath for a desired outcome here. Hopefully, though!

Probably some poor intern is going through all these orders 1 by 1. Or they wait for the legal dept reply what to do with the rest of this f'd up promo.

25,000 pending points from a single order on 11/30 became available today, and $250 is on its way to my bank account. Glad I was able to take advantage of it even after the T&C change, and happy for all of you, who took advantage of it in multiple orders!
