Avoid Aliexpress via Paypal. All, yes ALL, transactions are being processed by Paypal as cash advance! Resulting in Credit Card Issuer inflicting a cash advance transaction fee + accrual of daily interest as high as 28% APR! No way to resolve and all three companies (CC, AE & Paypal) will circle jerk the finger pointing of who is responsible with no solution. Reddit is exploding with many customers getting hit with these fees in the tune of 10's and even 100's of dollars. Avoid!!!

Paying the balance early in Pay Monthly won't violate the terms.

Remove your PayPal account from eBay payment first. Now after making a purchase, it will redirect you to PayPal, pick 'pay in 4' from there.

I got $108 for the pay-in-4 offer a few hours ago. I also got $20 a few days ago for the offer apparels. Both offers were from 1 transaction at Walmart on December 1st for 4 new tires. Thank you PayPal & Slickdeals.net for helping me to lower the cost of 4 new tires.

Got $154 for Dec 2nd purchase on BestBuy
The dates mean nothing if it was your first purchase for this promo. So, was it?

When the points move out of "pending" do you get an email, or does it happen without any fanfare?
I mentioned I had gotten an email from PP about rewards points I had earned in this post

https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=180979564

And I mentioned all my Pay Later points were available and redeemable on Dec 6 and that I initiated a bank transfer on Dec 7 that completed on Dec 9, with all funds in my local bank account.

Now, Dec 12, I just received an email congratulating me on earning points. I verified I have no points at PP. This is regarding the points I already had back on Dec 6 and redeemed on Dec 6.

So, the point is, they notify you, but it can be days/week after they are redeemable.

FWIW, I made a purchase on 12/1. Checked my PP account and saw the 25K points in my account on 12/11. Immediately redeemed them for cash and then requested a transfer of the money to my bank on 12/11. This morning, 12/12, the $250 was available in my bank account. Worked out well.

For the remaining "pay in 4" balance I owe, if I pay using my chase freedom card, will I get 5% cashback?

I tried and PayPal won't allow it. Chase doesn't participate in PayPal's Pay Later apparently (Chase wants you to use THEIR Pay Later, from what I understand). If I'm mistaken, I'd love to know how to pay off the balance with my Chase Freedom though!

They are, but you can also make them manually prior to the automated payment date.

Thanks!

You are right. I see the message "Your card is linked—but it won't work with your payment plan.". Maybe I'll pay with robinhood gold and be happy with 3% cashback.

Yeah, it's probably been mentioned a couple dozen times in this thread and multiple times by me.

You can NOT use Chase to pay off the Pay in 4 OR the Pay Monthly balances.

I was able to use my Discover card a few times and later my local bank to pay off my Pay Later purchases.

I got screwed over by Paypal changing their promo...
I happened to make a purchase on Nov 26th, the day they limited it to one purchase and that was my one use. Though this may have been true, but the offer was still showing as available with no indication that it had been used after that purchase.

I made a large purchase on Dec 1st and even on that day the saved offer was still showing in my account. Called Paypal today as I had not seen in any indication of being credited with the 20% cash back. They basically told me that I had used it on the Nov 26th purchase and that was it. Even explaining that it was showing as available to me and not being used on my Dec 1st purchase...they just told me sorry...nothing they can do about it...

Were the points showing up as pending under Rewards previously? Or just didn't show up after your purchase?
