We would not need these if we had not forced automakers in to building more efficient, but far less durable motors. Every where you look motors of today last half of what they did just 10yrs ago.. This deal only reminds me how much foolishness can effect a economy.

If you do not know what a catch can is and you own a direct injection car or truck, you will wish you heard about it before you bought that vehicle. It is simply a response to engineering that serves cafe standards and not the auto consumer.

More expensive cars, that last only 1/2 as long as they should effects the used car buyer the worst. If you can afford a new car, then you don't care, money means nothing to you. If you are the person who cant afford to buy new, and are forced to buy used, you are buying something that lasts only half as long as they should. The poor are who are the ones hurt most because of these useless regulations. It costs a lot of co2 to build a new car, when using a previously built one would, could have done well economically and environmentally.
