Why would the Target brand of brush heads ALL (90+%) suffer from the same spring falling out/toothbrush head no longer working, but when I use the brand name that rarely (maybe 2 out of dozens over several years) , no issue happens?

Also it doesnt even matter you shouldn't be using the same brush for that long.
I'd say to both of you - could be that you are using different lines of the base and it works/doesn't work as well on it.
Also, to the other point, you should be replacing it at 3m max - earlier if it's looking white/grody, and also after you have an infectious disease so that you don't reinfect yourself.
So.... maybe you're both right?
