the 4-pack has the same promo, so it would be 8 packages for $26 - a similar per pack price, but less hassle if you want a bunch...

Spearmint or GTFO

EDIT: Though Spearmint in this container is not included, the larger 120 pack is on sale for $5.69 S&S. Yes, more per piece than this deal, but I'll die before I chew Fresh Mint gum!!!

I like this gum but I do wonder about the ingredients:
Aspartame
Acesulfame K
Sucralose
Artificial Colors
Hoping that they are such trace amounts it doesn't matter, but feel like I've heard plenty of bad things about those.

SNAP EBT eligible
How is sugar free chewing gum paid for by the 'Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program'? It's not nutritious, it's not even food?

SNAP couldn't possibly review and approve every item in the store. Therefore, items are grouped into a few large categories. Gum is still probably in the same category as cereal or most other packaged foods. If we debate about gum, what about cake frosting? Heck, what about the cake itself? Is Cinnamon Toast Crunch too much sugar for the average tax payer to not poopoo someone using SNAP for it?

You see how this would go?

No, it could go as simply as gum isn't included. It's not food by any definition. The states all seem to have figured out how to apply sales tax to candy and soda, but not clothing or potatoes. I think any time you compel people to pay for programs, those programs should be limited to serving an actually useful purpose.

We feel the same. Have you or someone close to you used SNAP before? It's not as cut-and-dry as the news would have you believe.

No, but considering the number of people receiving SNAP benefits puts it at one in eight Americans, that seems ludicrously high. I'm all for ensuring people have a safety net to provide them with basic necessities during times of need, but too often government paid benefits end up being abused. Gum and luxury gift baskets shipped 2 day express by Amazon seem unnecessary, and the number of people getting SNAP having doubled since 2020 seems like abuse. Using taxpayer money to provide people with candy and soda that contribute to obesity and diabetes, and then paying for their health care is bad policy financially and in terms of people's health.
