i just ordered this for my daughter, I don't have it yet but it was on my list on amazon when it was over $200 worth a shot, incandescent isn't a deal breaker for me because it gives better light and if you set a wi-fi timer it's not much electric in my experience bulbs dont last either way and this is the new technology of incandescent

Whether or not one bulb going out turns off the others is a difference in how it's wired (in series vs in parallel). However, it's easier to break an incandescent bulb so if it's wired in series then you're more likely to have this problem and you would with an LED. Incandescent will use more energy, typically don't tend to last as long, are cheaper, and get warmer to the touch.

They aren't kidding about the time it takes to "re-fluff" these trees when new or after being stored.
  • Set aside 45-60 minutes to properly shape the tree by peeling back the branches and pulling the tips apart.
    Also, experienced user tip, wear thin gloves, the plastic and wire from the branches can rip the sh*t out of your hands, fingers and knuckles. We bought a couple pair of those cheap, thin brown, gardening gloves and just keep them in the storage bag, helped a lot. 👍🏼

We got the tired of the cheap $50 ctrees...bought a nice led bulb spruce for $125 at hd 7.5 with remote, no single light burnout,no multiple branch plugs,(single plug at outlet)...man sometimes spend a bit more make the tree more enjoyable..lol

Plus all the electricity loss is converted to heat. So in the winter it is net zero if you have electric heat already.

I own two National Christmas Trees. 9' and 7.5'. I allow about two hours to "fluff" the 9' tree and about an hour to "fluff" the 7.5' tree. The more time invested in "fluffing", the better the tree will look. Wear gloves and a long sleeve shirt when fluffing so your fingers, hands and arms don't get pricked and scratched up. When "fluffed" properly, these National Christmas Trees are hard to beat. Most people think both are natural trees. This appears to be a very good deal. Neither of my trees are pre-lit so I can't speak to the reliability of the lights, or what happens if a single bulb goes out, or is broken. I can say I've had the 9' tree for seven years and it is as beautiful as when it was new.

Are yours the newer PE style or the standard PVC style (which this one appears to be?).

I bought a led tree from HD close to $300 in 2021. Half the tree starts to dim in white light setting. Lots of bulbs dim to the point to almost unlit in the multicolor setting.
Sometimes spending more isn't the answer.
