I see that 24 gig RAM version is not on sale. Sounds like they are trying to get rid of 16 gig RAM version. If one is getting PRO version MacBook it makes sense to get the more RAM if you are gonna do photo or video processing. If you are just going to just do browsing, probably the Air version would suffice.

Apple sucks for suckering people with "PRO" laptops that don't have the "PRO" chips. Most consumers don't even notice hence why they do it. It's just shady.

I doubt most know what a pro chip is.

True which plays well into Apple's evil plan.

Did you get a Master's Degree in Math to figure out that 24 is more than 16? If this was a 24 GB model, would you be the guy telling us that 36 is more than 24?
MacOS still works great with only 8 GB of RAM. Millions of people do it. Most people will not need 16 GB, much less even more. The OS seamlessly pages RAM to SSD, and the SSD is so fast that it's difficult to notice any delay. That's the simple truth.

I saw a YouTube video of a Mac specialist reporting early drive failures in MacBooks due to low RAM. Apparently it has to work harder and thus affecting longevity.

Regualr tasks Air is good, but adding the win11 vm is kind of lagging.
