For 3D printer newbies. You need NOTHING else from Bambu labs. You can buy way cheaper filaments from Aliexpress with the comparable quality. I would recommend getting a 10 pack multi-color filaments liket his deal which should cost you ~$6 per 1Kg.

My son had been begging us to get him a 3d printer. Went from $200 A1 mini from his own pocket to dad jumping in on this action 😅. Let the random printing begin

A couple recommended items for new 3D print users.

3D model burr cleanup tool set and hotend cleaner:

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0CS6MLCWK

Jewelers pliers set for cleaning up models and removing supports.

https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PZ58BWJ

Air tight (waterproof) sealed container drybox for filament storage:
https://www.menards.com/main/stor...-12667.htm

Rechargeable Eva-Dry Dessicant for drybox:

https://www.homedepot.com/p/Eva-D.../202847325

PETG is more durable than using PLA but also absorbs moisture more quickly. Most filaments recommend drying before printing. Once the filament is dry you can store filament in a drybox and you don't have to dry it again for the next printing.

The limit is 1250 so after taxes this deal doesn't apply. That is what I am referring to. Total cost can't be over $1250 to get the 20% back and pay in 4 payments.
Oh dear. Son, you can spend over $1250, you will get $250 back. It just stops giving you the bonus above $1250..

Darn. I see PP pay later reward is activated but it won't let me choose pay in 4 payments or anything else for pay later.

Yeah that paltry $250 back is so awful.
I'm not 100% sure, but I think if the purchase is over the $1,250, you wouldn't be eligible at all. So you may not get any cashback at all. I didn't read the T&C but this is what I'm gathering from some of the comments in the main PP thread.

I just bought one with filement. The pending rewards immediately showed up on the PayPal rewards website. Also, you can get $20 coupon if you sign up for the email. I completely forgot to apply the coupon...

Im having the same issue. Added the 20% off deal but not seeing "pay later" at checkout. Just a paypal credit offer
I was able to get this fixed by changing my "Business" account into a "Personal" account via phone. It was pretty quick and seemless.

Depends,
And the most important fact is that majority of Cards would not be able to be added to the Pay Later linked card.
You wont be able to link a credit card besides BofA or some Amex to Pay Later. Chase, Citi, Capital One, etc. BIN numbers are all blocked from being added to the 'payment' card for Pay Later.
Paypal only accepts Debit cards and very few credit cards.
Citi and US Bank credit cards work for me

The 'fee' won't show up in pending until your it is posted in your CC account. I am not sure if this only happens with Ali/PayPal CC orders, but this looks really fishy atm. There is a long thread regarding this on Reddit and you can check it out, People are being circling between Ali/PP/CC that nobody takes any responsibility with this.

Literally my same scenario with my kids in a similar range. We already love the A1 after a week of using frequently, but this P2S is reeeeeeeally tempting me--even just the idea of filament drying sounds great.
I ended up just placing an order for a 2nd A1 to get the 20% cash back. I will return the first one since it is unopened. I figured at around $300 all in, I am better off seeing how we like it vs. spending 2x that.

I can select the 4 payments thing but I don't see anything reflecting the 20% off. If you can spend more then 1250 and still received the 20%, that would be great. Can anyone verify? I would just go straight to the H2S combo at that point. Thank you.

Don't sweat it, I believe you cannot use the coupon on the printer.

It doesnt really show the indication until after the transaction is in your Paypal history. Just double check the offer is showing in the Rewards section of your Paypal account and then right after you order, you can see the reward points pending on the transaction in your Paypal history.

Do I need to get anything else to use this or does it come with everything in the box?

What about the filament too?
