I'm curious what makes someone spend this much on the board, versus a much better Threadripper build? The Ryzen platform, and its limited capabilities, really restricts what one can do on the machine.
Main drawback of TR is that there is no X3D chip available as Threadripper, yet. Of course TR CPUs also cost more, but what does $850 on AM5 get you that $400 doesn't? Memory bandwidth and PCIe lanes are a real bottleneck on AM5 (at this price range).
