What part number do you use in store? Their ad is for an email version of the Apple gift card only?
Not sure what you are asking? I had to do some searching for the $100 Apple gif cards as they were all sold out in front and the other. Had to go to stationary to find some.
The Target GC was not the normal ones with a graphic on the card. That is what I brought to the register but the Target lady instead had some that were more boring looking without any graphic.
I was able to buy 3 more in store self checkout. All three is separate transactions. The only pain point is that for every transaction you have get an associate to put the activation sticker on Target GC.
I did 10 this morning. It did take some time because of as you shared they needed to put a stick on each of the Target cards. It took about 20 minutes for us to do 10.
Can confirm 3 orders placed in quick succession worked but everything beyond that got cancelled.Does anyone know how they track limit for in store purchase? Do they require you to enter Target/Circle details and if so, does same 3 card limit apply?
Can also confirm success for 3x separate $100 purchase via online.
Hmm, I got PayPal 20% on the $15 portion, not the $85 portion of the 3 orders I did, but it's the full 2000 points ($20). ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ should be fine it seems!

They let you do Pay in 4 for three orders? After two, the option no longer shows up for me.

I bought 2 orders during the $10 deal last week. Note: seems at least today, the 3-order quota is shared across both purchases.
Bottom line: Yes, it's worth buying Apple products this way, but be aware of the effort involved in managing gift cards and protecting your email access.
On Apple's side: In 2024 September, Apple stopped allowing in-store pickup for customized Apple Watches during the launch periods (couple of weeks), it's shipping only. Now in 2025, they're rolling out shipping-only for the first couple weeks of new releases—even for lower-priced items like their new $40 40W USB-C PD charger, which doesn't need any in-store customization labor at all.
In short for Apple: yes, but first couple of weeks after product is out, it may be limited to shipping only.
Worth knowing: You can buy and return unopened Apple products to work around the $2,000 purchase limit, but Apple now refunds as plain-text gift card codes emailed directly. Apple may flag that behavior—be aware of the risk. Guard your email carefully—if compromised, anyone with that email can redeem it.
On Target's side: Since 2023, Target stopped allowing Target Gift Card combining, so managing cards more than 10 requires extra work. Also, if you experience gift card fraud, Target's customer service has tightened significantly—I spent 6 hours on phone chat with different reps when I dealt with fraud.
Got a bad physical card in store. The code in the middle was scratched off as well as the last few digits of the serial number starting with PBH. Scammers know what they're doing. If getting one in store, just rip off the tag and make sure the codes aren't screwed with. Target doesn't give an eff so who cares if there are a few bad cards on the ground.

Cannot believe this shit is still happening. Buying physical cards at target is not recommended

As a reminder, in the past you were able to order more after a few days. Don't know if the same will happen this year but fingers crossed!
