"suck on anything wet" means good traction?

It looks like other sizes are also available at this price.

Well my wife bought the Elk/River Blue version of these boots earlier this year to specifically wear on a trip to Iceland. We hiked over wet ground, wet rocks, snow, hardpacked ice covered with water, and not once did my wife complain that these shoes were slippery. We did have to wear steel mountaineering crampons when we went hiking on a glacier, but that is required of any boots. With a good pair of wool socks, they kept her feet dry and warm. But yeah, this color is kind of ugly, that much I'll agree with you on.

The only boot I've ever had that had major grip issues. Maybe a bad batch of soles.
