One time I bought fishing lines as "open box" and the line were completely taken out to use, scraped and only half of the spool back in a box.
Back then open box means the box was beat up in transport, and they can't sell it as new.
Also now the stuff I picked from "warehouse" just doesn't even quality the discounts.
Last few years you ll be lucky not to send 75% of it back. The discount has to really be worth the hassle and from what I've seen this year it has not been, especially when New items are getting the 10% back on Amazon Prime Visa.
Anyway, I took another chance given the extra discount just a few days ago with a Logitech Pop mechanical keyboard. The outside of the box was covered in a sticky adhesive (like that of a big label), but the clear seals were still on the box. It was indeed new. I'll only take the chance if the discount is well worth it. Then again, at least you can return items if not as described.
