The cost of the labels and the need to use different labels for different purposes made me avoid buying this. Also, these items have a high return rate on Amazon.

The cost of the labels is $16 for a 3 pack of labels for the Nimbot brand. It works out to 0.023 per label

You can use the open source https://niim.blue/ either from there or self hosted. It should work via usb as well but I have only tested Bluetooth with chrome and B1

You do not need different labels for different purposes unless you want different styles or sizes. But I fail to see how that is a problem with this specific printerLabels are not cheap but they are very good. Never had one fade or otherwise visibly age on me in ~3 yearsThey also have sales on their website where you can get all the fancy different ones, or otherwise aliexpress for cheap labels but usually limited to the basic ones Right now I can eg get 2 rolls transparent for ~$10 with coins or 6 rolls normal white for 24 in dollar express. That is $4 for 320 labels of 50x20 mm

You have to use their labels, which are super expensive. There are rfid tags in their rolls and they acknowledge when a roll has run out, so you can't just move the rfid tag into a different brand label. You're going to end up spending way more on labels than you'll save on the printer. There's a 1 star review that talks about it.

I'd avoid buying this. Proprietary labels.
