NOW ADDITIONAL $100 off in Samsung App!

Best deal I've seen so far on the fully loaded Samsung Galaxy Book Pro 5 laptops. I personally have the 16" and it is excellent. I would jump all over one of these machines at this price.

14" 16GB/512GB [samsung.com] - $680 (now $580)
14" 32GB/1TB [samsung.com] - $840 (now $740)
16" 16GB/1TB [samsung.com] - $840 (now $740)
16" 32GB/1TB [samsung.com] - $920 (now $820)

Working for EPP too. Is $680 good price for this configuration?
Absolutely. If you only need 16gb ram. SSD is replaceable. 16" has extra SSD slot.

Anyone have any idea if the Ultra 2 is a big enough jump from Ultra 1? I have the Galaxy book pro4 16" now, feel like I need 32gb RAM instead of 16. Otherwise it great.
Big jump in battery life if that matters to you.

Update. I was able to get the pricing using the OPs links. doing it on my own either thru EPP or EDU was at least $100 higher for the config I got.

That is what I am worried about. It seems the Samsung Snapdragon Book4 Edge laptop and these laptops have a lot of cracked screens. We are a Samsung household, but I'll be picking up a Surface 13.8 instead I think.

FYI, I have an EDU account. For those of you having trouble. Log in first without using the OP's link. You should see $799. Then go back and click on OP's link. It should then show $679.99.

I had the GB3 Ultra, GB4 Edge, and now GB5Pro (all 16") and haven't had any issues with the screens

I have been reading about these cracked screens, but it is not clear if they occur more on the 16in or the 14in. I would think the 16in is more susceptible, but I do not know. I think I am going to cancel and stick with my Costco Lenovo purchase with the same specs (other than the screen). That one comes with 2 years warranty plus another year from credit card, and I do not want to deal with the crazy Samsung customer service (they burned me on a fridge) and the wife in case something like this happens. The screens seems to be more than half of the cost to replace That one is $243 more expensive what this deal plus paypal 20% off

This is what I bought:

Samsung Galaxy Book5 Pro, 14" $840-$168 20% Paypal = $672 out the door
IntelĀ® Coreā„¢ Ultra 7 Processor 258V (P-core Up to 4.8 GHz 12 MB LLC Cache)
14.0" WQXGA+ AMOLED Display (2880 x 1800), Anti-Reflective, Touch Screen Panel
32 GB LPDDR5X Memory (On Package)

Lenovo Slim 7i 14" OLED Touchscreen Copilot+ PC - Aura Edition $915 out the door
IntelĀ® Coreā„¢ Ultra 7 Processor 258V (8-Core)
32GB LPDDR5x 8533MHz RAM
14" Touchscreen OLED WUXGA (1920 x 1200) 400 Display

I believe you are using an EDU account and not EPP. There are different prices depending which store you access.
I and others have confirmed this works using both. EPP requires you to click around some on the site to get the pricing to show correctly.

I've had ten or more of the galaxy books since they came out with the amoled screens (computer nerd with a tech hobby!). You've got to realize that it's an ultra book with an ultra sophisticated styling. The durability of it matches what it should be given how thin and light it is. If you use common sense and protect your gear when moving it, the screen shouldn't crack.

The other thing I do, which I believe is also common sense, is I open the laptop from the center of the panel.

Owning both sizes, I do agree that the 14 would seem more durable when opening and closing, because there's just less panel.

Well the reviews I am reading are not particularly encouraging. I still have a Flex Alpha but the power port is cooked.

Of course, the most natural way is to open the screen from the top, but this would be my wife's so I cannot guarantee anything.

My daily driver is a Lenovo X1 Carbon, and, and other than the battery, it is a beast. My wife has a HP Spectre 360 if we are talking about sophistication. They are the best looking laptops ever but needs more memory and she spilled tea on the keyboard and not the keys stick.

I want something that won't break if it gets touched by something other than a feather. They are touchscreen laptops and should take a bit of pressure. everything breaks with enough force. I think the Lenovo will be a better choice even if it is a bit more expensive.

These are sturdy, high quality machines. I can vouch for them, but if course, it's all anecdotal.

Agree. Sounds like your wife is not the intended user of the galaxy book pro series. It's more for that user that doesn't see tech as just a tool.
