On v1 of the Wyze Cam, yes they had security issues and end of life'd the version.

I've been using 33 wyze Cam v3 and the original doorbell starting in 2021. All, with the exception of the doorbell have continuous local recording to.the Micro SD cards. Don't have to pay for a subscription to view live or review/download footage from the micro SD cards. Serves my needs fine.

As with any internet of things devices best practices such as having a strong password, two factor authentication and connecting them to a separate VLan on your WiFi home network are all.good precautions.

Yes, excellent deal! Wyze allows you to continuously record to microSD card without a subscription. Usage of App is free and you can view live and review microSD via app remotely.

There are only a few models that don't have a microSD. I believe all three types sold in this bundle accept a microSD card.

Please don't buy Wyze garbage. They have a history of leaving customer data accessible with no password protection, shady tactics of changing or removing features, and a desire to keep RTSP from their customers (or charge for it).

Continuous recording requires a lot of storage on the SD card. I've not had success using 1TB. If you want event based recording, you need to pay for subscription, and there's more than one tier.

I've used 128GB micro SD cards, the cheap microcenter branded ones. With v3 cams at 1080p, 10-11 days are recorded before the data is overwritten. Obviously with 2.5k that would be shortened to about 5 days. I believe they accept 256GB microSD cards to bring it close to the 10 days.

Blink is very low quality... the system and cameras are buggy, low quality video. I made the mistake and am now several cameras deep.

Don't think so. Local microSD or their cloud.

So is this wifi or wired? All the celebrity robberies used a wifi disrupter to disable all the cameras. So if this is wifi, it will be useless.

If you're in the market for this, you probably don't fit profile of the homeowners those robbers are targeting...that said, wifi. It does support 5ghz.
