bought this for 600 and i like it quite a bit. ink tanks don't last nearly as long as advertised if you actually print photos but ink is still far cheaper than cartridges

Yes. You can also convert this to a Direct to film printing

I bought this printer yesterday and I set it up today. The results so far are very good. I'm very pleased especially since I almost paid an extra $350 five days ago

There is no 100$ recycle option. Maybe it expired.

I went in to my local Best Buy to ask about the printer trade in promo since the website was not super clear about limitations/restrictions. They did not have it in stock but I was able to get free shipping to my home. Got $100 off for trading in any printer- didn't even have to bring it today, lol. Seems odd but no complaints here. $399 plus tax for me. Happy!!!

How did you get the 100 off trade-in? Did they know about the offer or did you have to show them something?

I asked at the checkout and they looked it up and printed the coupon out for me to read

Incredible deal. The coupon information says "Bring in an eligible printer...." any ideas on what is an eligible printer?

Edit: well a family member had an old Epson printer which worked but from what I could find, any printer, any condition would work. They don't really check anything. The coupon they print at customer service only says up to $75 but it's programmed to work automatically for $100 Off this model.

Just did the $100 trade in today. Like others mentioned, BestBuy didn't even bother inspecting the printer I was trading in and the coupon printed only mentions a max of $75 off but the 8550 does get $100 off when scanned.
