I was able to get 30% cash back with Capital One, which made this TV basically cost $2099. I used their app, so YMMV, but great deal

From what I've read, most people compare the pros and cons of a smaller OLED vs the more immersive experience of a 98". If comparing comparable sizes, I believe OLED always wins except in certain HDR scenarios.
Ideal viewing distance for the chosen resolution (assuming 4k in consumer TV's) should be minimum criteria for a comparison of displays... You don't get to throw out the science behind display sizing or the practical constraints of budget in order to make OLED "fit" a budget comparison. https://www.rtings.com/tv/reviews...lationship

OLED is amazing but it's grossly overpriced to be practical for most large format displays. Mini LED is a highly economical improvement over traditional LED panels that has closed the gap a lot and brought some interesting advantages particularly in bright scenes where OLED suffers massively in comparison.

If I had a limitless budget and the ability to dedicate a space with full control over ambient lighting conditions I think OLED would be an amazing solution. Most people are not buying for that scenario, they are looking at mixed use rooms/daytime viewing and realistic budget constraints for which MiniLED is a vastly better option that reduces the gap on black levels/low brightness content but absolutely nukes OLED displays on value per inch, peak brightness/HDR and long term concerns in gaming setups with burn-in.

So I swear we've either seen this one or the U8 100 go down to 2700 with additional cash back; right now this one is on Nebraska Furniture Mart for $2800 https://slickdeals.net/f/18798385-98-tcl-qm8-series-4k-mini-led-tv-2799-at-nfm-with-best-buy-price-match-potential-2798-97

I'm gonna want it at 2600 or some sort of significant cash back or something. I just feel like $3k is retail and the stores are trying to pass this off as a sale. Yes, they typically charge even more for it but this and the U8 100, but they have both been on sale for $3k or less a bunch of times in the last 2 years, it just doesn't really feel like it's as low as they can go. Especially once next gen starts rolling out.

Thank you, I saw 24% and got the 98" qm7k deal. When did the cash back amount show up?

I just signed up for savor one hoping to replicate. Where did you find the cash back offer?

I'm only seeing 11% for Best Buy online but not sure if I'm looking in the right place.

I ended up getting 24% cash back plus the bonus $200 for using card in first 3 months. I took screen shots in cart and after order was placed, had the browser extension (it was greyed out for some reason but still showed coupon as activated) so hopefully I don't have trouble getting the cash back.

Please Google TCL on their warranty service. I'm experiencing the nasty run arounds many people mentioned in their reviews. You seriously don't need to go through this.

Yea, this price is completely BS. This is avg selling price for this tv for the past few months. A real price would be $2500-2600.
