Sorry but already confirmed on many deal sites people have their points pending.

Since the paypal offer tracks (don't think it's limited to one use, just a max $ amount), try it one on 'sale' gift card $50 card for $40. See what happens, and then you can decide it my info is accurate.

i know i saw those comments too. pending doesnt mean it will be approved. in 2025, no credit provider is dumb enough to let people churn with gift cards.

Paypal only approves the actual charge total submission, they don't know what you are buying. No different than an AMEX Offers at Best Buy for $25 statement credit on $250, those too work on Gift Cards even though the wording says they don't.

Yeah, tell that to Amex.

With the exception that Amex gets level 3 data from BB, at least for online.

I'm voting up because this information is buried in a super long thread with inconsistent feedback. TY SuchADeal

Hey, if you don't want to roll the dice, don't. If you're planning to spend the money at Best Buy or another merchant in the next few months, no real risk as you still have the value of the gift card. If you get the 20% back, you come out ahead, if you don't you haven't lost anything really. That's why I say, try it first on a low value gift card like $25 or $50, if you get the pending points, you should be ok. remember pending is to deal with people who return goods in the short term, I doubt they'd be pending in the first place on gift card orders if they were outright excluded.

They will get an itemized list down the road as part of the offer approval. Any coded item such as gift cards will eventually make it up to Paypal and they will deny it at that point. There's a reason they're not giving your back the value immediately because they will go through their checks.

I'm fairly sure Paypal folks are looking at these places too.

Does PayPal pay later require that the credit check freeze be lifted? If yes, which company do they use to verify - Equifax, TransUnion or Experian?

Ignore him, he's just a newb crapping on this and the other threads about the same nonsense about rejecting pending points later. He probably works for BBY and he knows it will work but why would BBY care? Look, if Paypal didn't want this to work, they would have called it "Gift Cards." There's no need to make up a coded name and try to sneak it into the small print. when you have a limited $ amount that can be made from the deal, there's nothing wrong with it; not long anyone is going to churn $25k worth of GCs.

Is it possible to use this offer through Paypal but have the payments taken from a credit card connected to our paypal account?

Paypal very clearly gets level 3 data from merchants and knows what is purchased. No one knows if they will end up paying out for gift card purchases. PENDING points are absolutely meaningless.
