Did you read the listing about why they are open-box?

"Hey, you there! These Pixel Folds are brand new and in their original box with unused original accessories. The boxes have been opened to unlock the devices, but otherwise never used. These Verizon versions are SIM unlocked but are not bootloader unlocked - important if you want to change the ROM, get root access, etc.

Also, this is not the cheapest it has been, there was en eBay deal posted on SD last week, same Verizon version. It also doesn't have all of the necessary bands, especially for T-Mobile.

You think you'll use the inner screen so much. You do at first because its fun and things are bigger. Then you start just using the outside screen like 85% of the time. These are also heavyyyy. Forget about wearing any draw string shorts. If love wearing jeans with a belt, this works fine for this phone.

The only foldable that I really liked was the oneplus open. Way lighter compared to google or samsung.

Are these the new ones?
No, this is the first version. There has been Pixel Pro Fold 9 & Pixel Pro Fold 10 since this was released.

There are plenty of these out there that never sold. Google way over-estimated demand.

I would say that is true until fold 7 came out. It is a game changer. When folded it literally feels like an s25 ultra. Also, I use the phone open like ALL the time for web browsing and media consumption. This is the first phone I have gotten where I feel like the new tech is actually useful. Again this is the fold 7 I am talking about.

I get what you're saying, but my experience has been the opposite. I've used the Z Fold3 since 2021 and recently picked up the Pixel Fold in July, and I still use the inner screen about 90% of the time. That bigger tablet-style display is the whole reason I stick with foldables—it's perfect for media and multitasking.I also use my foldable as a secondary phone, so the size and weight don't really bother me. For my use case, the inner screen is absolutely worth it.

Way less than 1% of the people unlock their bootloader.

You should try fold 7. Noticeably thinner and lighter. It's a game changer. I use the big screen all the time but if you don't use then don't get it. I personally don't think I can go back.

I'm trying to decide whether I would use the inner screen enough to justify the extra weight. I figured this would be a good opportunity to try it out without shelling out a ton of money. If I do end up using the inner screen enough, then I would know that it's worth buying a Samsung Fold 7. Although I much prefer the Pixel version of Android over One UI from Samsung.
