He probably means that for the PS5, the PSVR2 has been de-prioritized from Sony's perspective and will be getting minimal budget going forward. Sony still technically supports the product and third-party developers may continue to publish games for the PSVR2 on the PS5 but Sony itself likely won't for their games.

However, buy this + the PSVR2 PC adapter ($60 MSRP) and you have a solid wired PC-VR headset with OLED and a 2000x2040 per-eye resolution that works well with SteamVR.

I got the PSVR2 for GT7 on the PS5 and I use it on the PC, judge me all you wish, mostly for VR porn. I got it for around this price a couple years ago when Sony was dumping them and I don't regret it at all.

If the valve frame wasn't just announced I would buy this to replace my meta 3s as a PC headset in a heartbeat. Those OLED screens are a nice upgrade.

Sure, this won't do everything, and you have to be fine with being tethered and understand the limitations, but if you have a PS5 and a gaming PC there's plenty of value to be had here. Even just being able to play your whole PlayStation library over the headset can be appealing if you don't have the best TV or struggle to share with the family.

I bought one last year when Sony had the free year of Netflix deal. Still haven't used it. Any deals on just the charger?
