I bought the pro 2 years ago for double the price. Doesn't go that far, hassle to get the video, just wasn't as cool as I thought it would be.

These really are worth it for people that really want to use and take them around to different places. For most, the novelty does wear off quickly. I have the Mini 3 with RC controller that I rarely use. With that said, the range or video is not an issue with them. Mini 3 range is much longer than you are actually allowed to fly. You are supposed to be able to see them and my mini can go much farther than that without any loss in signal or video quality.
