It will be covered in chicken poop in about 3 hours. Just purchase a heating panel for the coop.

I would imagine it would be fine as long as it doesn't get wet. I have a 17 year old cat that loves her heated cat bed. She has bad arthritis and it helps her immensely. Cats like her is probably who they are marketed to as an indoor house. She would love this too.

I would think it would be ok for chickens if they were to go inside. Door is prob too small for larger chickens.

Here are the specs:

Temperature: The built-in heating pad reaches approximately 104 to 107F (40-41.7C).

Adjustment: The temperature is not adjustable.

Power: The system operates on a low 12-volt power supply for safety.

Cord: It includes an extra-long power cord with a chew-(peck?)resistant casing.

Says indoor, but would this be fine for an outdoor covered porch? I'm guessing that's the real target market anyway, because who would need this inside their house?

How many watts does this thing draw? I don't want a surprise $100 raise in my electric bill!
I found a review on Chewy that claimed 11 watts, and a lot of complaints that the pad doesn't really get warm, so if your goal is to keep a cat warm I'd maybe look elsewhere. There are plenty of always on heated pads on Amazon that are in the 25 - 55 watt range that would probably work better and not add too much to the power bill.

If all you want is some type of little shelter and the heat isn't a primary feature, it's probably fine for the price.

There are also some pads available with pressure sensors so they ideally only turn on when an animal is actively on it, but Chinese electronics of course are prone to premature failure. Cool if you can find one that actually lasts a whole season though.

Use one of those pee pad liners and replace as needed. That's what I do.
