Newegg has the 26 TB for $10 more: https://www.newegg.com/seagate-ex...6822185116

Was able to use the PayPal Pay In 4 for $50 CB so $200 + tax in the end.

Did some research on this. I know folks are saying buy the 26TB. However, the 24TB may have advantages if you're putting this in a NAS.

The shucking gamble with those Best Buy Seagate Expansion 24TB drives:
According to reviews on Best Buy, CrystalDiskInfo reports ST24000NM002H inside, which is a SATA Exos X24 24TB—an enterprise-grade drive. That's the jackpot scenario. https://hardforum.com/threads/24t...e.2040073/
However, there's a catch: The 24TB drives have switched over to Barracudas now as well. The first two people got were Exos and the 3rd was a Barracuda. The Barracuda appears to be a 5400 rpm drive based on the rebuild speeds compared to the Exos variants. https://hardforum.com/threads/24t...e.2040073/
How to tell what you're getting: It's pretty easy to tell by just looking at the box—besides the date of production, they changed the box design on the barracudas. Left side of the box, if it has a computer on it, it's an Exos, if it doesn't, it's a Barracuda. https://hardforum.com/threads/24t...e.2040073/
Drives with Date of Manufacture pre-2025 are likely Exos. One person used CrystalDiskInfo to confirm both drives were ST24000NM002H before committing to shucking—both were EXOS. Post-2025 drives are probably Barracudas. https://forums.redflagdeals.com/b...2753795/3/

Anyone have any luck getting an exos drive at Best Buy? Unfortunately they don't keep these stocked on shelves so you just have to place a pickup order and ask to see the manufacture date at time of pickup. I took a gamble and didn't get lucky.

I commented that price a month ago; did you really expect it to still be that price today? Get with the program, boss.

I don't know why, but the deal alert went off yesterday in that price via email.
