I wish they would just announce that these either are or aren't going to work on the next gen systems.

I agree. It's important they don't make us buy this only to be retired bc they will move onto the next console in a few years. It should be consumer friendly and not lead to ewaste.

4 tb for $380 ? in what world is this ok?

Look I am a big Xbox fan, and I have the 2tb version as the 1tb was a joke but, 4tb would be nice at like $250 but, not at this price.

As I said, I looked it up, a 2280 4 tb starts around $240, this should be close to this price.

first time learning about proprietary memory?

this is pretty standard industry practice. the psvita famously failed because of this. not saying it's okay, just letting you know that they all do this. they didn't have to go proprietary, they do it for profits and control.

I have an Xbox and bought the 2tb a way back but this is just rediculous. At this point just wait for steam machine or buy a pc. You're already entering that territory price wise. The convenience of console gaming isn't worth this price tag.

Who plays 4TB of games at a time? Unload all the games you're not currently playing onto a regular cheap SSD and move them if need be when ready to play. Easy money saved.
