It can't be inferior. Leatherman no longer has a competing product in this footprint. I wish they did, but currently I'd argue that Sog is probably the most versatile tool in this size class.

Once you've owned a Leatherman, you'll realize how inferior this product is.

I was on the fence because I had been eyeing this tool as an alternative to my Skeletool, then I saw this post and then I saw the 10% back using Amex points. Oh well, one more multitool.

Hated my gerber, the pliers snapped. My leatherman is much better quality.

I prefer Leatherman, but they no longer have anything even close to this feature/size wise, they basically exited that market.

It's nice to have something this size, large enough to still be a tool, but small enough you can carry it pretty much anytime anywhere other than airports and stadiums.

I actually bought a second, I keep one next to my wallet for when i'm out, and keep one in my desk at work just because it's handy and I occasionally forget to throw it in my pocket on the way out the door.

I have mine and love it, I carry it often. It's so small so it disappears into the pocket unlike bulkier multitools like Leatherman etc

I have several LM. Are they better? Yes.

The PowerPint Mini is pretty sweet, though. All the tools are capable. The compound leverage of the pliers is a really nice touch. Takes 1/4" bits, while the LM flat bits suck for every purpose other than carrying them. My daughter can use this way better than my Wave+ or Surge, and it's 1/3 the price. And I'd much rather put this PPM plus a bit kit in my glove compartment than any LM.

For the price and the size, it is a surprisingly capable tool. My biggest gripe is that it likes to open up when i don't want it to. At 60 bucks, I'd rather move up to a slightly larger and pricier Leatherman. At 30, the closest competitor I've used is the Gerber Dime, and I like this better.

I have one of these and I like it. For the full price 60 bucks, I'd rather spend little more on a Leatherman, even though that would also mean carrying a little larger tool. At 30 bucks though, you're directly competing with the Gerber Dime. I've also used the Dime, which I liked pretty well. I think this a better product overall if you're at similar price points.

My biggest complaint with this one is it does have a habit of opening up when I don't necessarily want it to, but outside of that it's surprisingly functional given its size.
