This is a good deal if you already have an Anker F2000 or F2600, and looking to add more battery. This is a 2600Wh battery which has bigger capacity and cheaper than the first generation BP2000.

Just buy a new C2000 Gen 2 for $650 and swap a depleted F2000 with a fully charged one?

This depends on your use case, 2kwh may work for you, but it may not work for other people (like myself). Plus, Lfp batteries dont get depleted easily, unlike the lead acid and agm counterparts.
My 1 year old F2000 is still going strong and I am just trying to store the energy for a longer run time. I have been eyeing on this battery for a while now and finally pulled the trigger.
I can buy C2000, but it will only have 2048wh capacity. Also, with more inverters, I will have more battery drain during idle and load.

I understand your point and also have considered getting a combo that includes the expansion battery. I think I'd prefer the ability to use two individual pieces to provide more flexibility if I want to move a C2000 elsewhere to power something else.My understanding and, correct me if I'm wrong, is the expansion battery gets depleted first and then re-charged last? My intended use is to power the refrigerator and when depleted insert another unit while the first one is recharged quickly by a generator (really hope the outage doesn't last that long! LOL) We just had a "scheduled" outage last week and I used my F2000 to power my refrigerator for over a day (outage was less than 4 hours, but I wanted to cycle the F2000)

I thought the C2000 was the upgraded version of the F2000 except for the bar light? I already own the F2000 and the new C2000 is smaller and lighter, but as far as I understood, had the same ratings and capacity of the F2000. Also, the C2000 charges faster than the F2000 and battery drain during idle is lower than the F2000.

The current price for the C2000 on Amazon is $679. The best price in the last week I saw for the C2000 with an expansion battery (doubling capacity) was $1250 on Anker's website. I'm not sure if that price is still available.

If you come in from google search it's $599 instead of 699 I would wait for Black Friday sales

Are you referring to the bp2000 second generation battery? That one only works for the C2000 gen 2.

Yes, expansion battery gets depleted first, then charged last. I have the C1000 (1st gen) with expansion battery, and it has provided ample power when it was needed.

Definitely C2000 is a better unit, much lighter, and it has smaller parasitic drain, but it will still drain more since it has an additional inverter. If you need more power, and you don't mind switching the unit back and forth, then buying a C2000 would be the right way to go. My weight limit of lifting power station without wheels is around 30lbs, and that would be a C1000 (without expansion battery). In my use case, I don't need more power and I don't want to keep moving/switching it back and forth, I just need larger capacity to supplement my main solar system during extended cloudy/rainy days.

If you don't mind spending more, you can definitely get that the C2000 + the extended battery (you will get more, but you will pay more).
